Nankervis !!

Just need someone around the 195cm mark to take over ruck duties when Nank is off the ground

I thought Grundy slaughtered our 1st ruck too.

I sorta thought the same. Nank tried hard but thought he was clearly beaten. And poor old Grigg was slaughtered.

He's an honest ruck, will get found out against the comp's best rucks at the bounce but he provides plenty around the ground and at secondary contests. Bloody good value.
We seem to get smacked around the clearances almost every week, yet we're sitting cosy at the top of the ladder n with a shiny cup in the cabinet.
Reckon we've simply found a way to compete honestly at our weaknesses but dominate at our strengths n the rest of the comp and media are desperately trying to figure out what we do n how we keep doing it.

Rest him for the trip to the GC in a couple of weeks. Has been flogged as the sole ruck again this season so a rest in the lead up to September would do no harm.

Well managed again, had him rested so he could dominate the last quarter like he does every week.

Warrior. Just proves how important he is, when he went off we looked lost.
Grundy dominates against quality ruckman, so going up against Grigg was always going to be a worry.
We need a Justin Charles type of ruckman

yep. for someone who is supposedly getting run into the ground, and who doesnt get the breaks his opponents do he tends to finish pretty strong.

finished damn strong.

19 disposals, 12 contested possessions, and 4 clearances, and 3 contested marks. I'll take that any day from a ruckman. And if the opposition Ruckman does better than that then cudos to them for a great effort also.

With Balta’s ability to play fwd, back, wing... I would think he is the one that stands out as a second ruck option. He is agressive and has a great leap. I’m not sure it will eventuate this season - but it’s exciting to think we have a player like him in the reserves.

Thought he gave us something in the last, pushing forward and battled hard after the tap contest. Grundy didn't give a yelp in the last (pretty good for the other 3 qtrs)

Yes. Dimma obviously didn't panic in q2 and 3 and Rush Nank back on. Kept him stoked for a big effort in last which Nank delivered. And I was pleased to see Grundy hunched over a lot in the last...gassed.

Yep. No need to travel, rest up.
Be tempted to bring in 2 ruckman rotate through the forward line.

PLayed well but beaten. Grundy slaughtered our second rucks though.

Dimma said he was very disappointed at the stoppages. Meaning our mid fielders needed to put in more when Grigg was rucking. Must improve in this area.

Yes we structured up very poorly. It should be easier to defend when you know the opposition is going to win the ruck

I think a big factor with this, is that our 2 best negative players at stoppages are Graham an Conca

Watched the 1Q again.
Big Nank had the better of Grundy easy.

I reckon he got a knock and played with it for the rest of the game.
