Yeah he did in ruck contests but Simpson had just 4 disposals. Generally speaking you can't carry a ruckman of that sort these days in footy. You gotta get the pill too. Wasn't one of Nankervis's best games that's for sure. His worth is nullifying the ruck where possible but getting the opposition with his around the ground work. Didn't happen this time around.

Such a competitor, if we can find a key forward / ruck to help him out I think we can be even better, as a genuine around the ground ruck I believe he can offer plenty as a resting forward, doesn’t get out marked and the mosquitoes will know exactly where to get the crumb
