Nankervis !!

Big call but he's better then Maric was in his AA season and he's only 22.

What he does well is he's prepared to concede the tap out but he quickly positions himself as an extra on baller.

Great call Harry, he is very good at positioning himself defensively around the contest especially when he knows he cant impact the ruck contest due to a average bounce or throw in

well he kind of didnt.

like I said, Grundypants was huge. I wouldnt chuck the remote if he got 3 brownlow votes even.

BUT, and its a Kim Kardashian but, in the last quarter, after Nankers had rucked solo for a half, he took about 3 big grabs while grundy was trying desperately to get some oxygen.

weve got the best, toughest, biggest hearted young ruckman in the comp. hes ours.

That's what they get when they pick grundy and just white and Moore as back up.

I reckon he's the most promising young ruckmen we ve had since Mark Lee.

Yeah. Thought he was a great pick up in the off season but more because our ruck stocks are so poor. But he really has been a revelation.

We should make poaching ruckmen off the Bloods a thing. Stafford was a nasty bastard with sharp elbows and pointy knees and this kid is just a brute. Opponents (and their ruckmen in particular) are going to wake up sore the morning after they face the tiges.

Fast becoming a bit of a cult hero amongst us Tiger supporters.

He is only young but you got to love his work ethic and the fact he gets beaten and will be beaten more often than not at centre bounces, he makes it up with his other attributes.

20+ disposals for a Tiger ruckman is unheard of.

His upside is huge.

Tremendous pick up and I'm glad he should us!

We give it to our club for shocking trades and rightly so in most cases, but this trade is currently looking to be an absolute winner. Kudos to whoever targeted him (Blair?)

No idea he was this good. And all for a third round (?) pick!

I just love his contested marking. He takes the marks he's suppossed to. Seemed like he was everywhere in that first quarter.

He's the exact oppossite to cymbals Hampson.

I thought it was a very clever trade. But he has started even better than I thought he could.

Absolutely loving seeing a RFC ruckman compete and compete some more, add the mongrel and mobility and who would have thought last year we'd have a big bloke that can run, mark and compete..

As others have said great target and Get, this guy in this position improves us almost immeasurably, like the Ivan of Old he's contested play after the ruck inspires and demands our mids to be like minded and ruthless..

Love the big bloke already!

Just 2 games but Nankervis is averaging 14.5 disposals a game, 10 contested possessions, 3 contested marks, 2.5 tackles, . Hampson last year was 7.9 disposals, 5 contested possessions, 1.4 contested marks, 1.8 tackles. We've gone from one of the worst 1st ruckman in those stats to one of the best. Just makes a massive difference to have that extra capable midfielder around the stoppages and taking decisive strong marks around the ground.

I haven't seen the game yet but I've seen grundy mentioned in reports as starring.... who won the battle??

I reckon 95% of the population will say Grundy. and he was Collingwoods 2nd best after Treloar. But Grundy did his best work on Griffens and in the last 10 minutes, he was cooked and Nankers toyed with him.

It was like a 15 round heavy weight fight and Nankers won in a split decision for me
