Funny that both Kruezer and Grundy were considered BOG for their respective sides, yet no one feels at Nankervis hasn't delivered.

easy said:I reckon 95% of the population will say Grundy. and he was Collingwoods 2nd best after Treloar. But Grundy did his best work on Griffens and in the last 10 minutes, he was cooked and Nankers toyed with him.
It was like a 15 round heavy weight fight and Nankers won in a split decision for me
Coburgtiger said:If you wanna know who beat who, watch the footage of Grundy diving after candy like a hypoglycemic 2 year old, while Nankervis sells it, packages it, and lets him taste test it, before theiving it away from him agility and precision of a mountain cat.
Then also look at the score.
Point Nank.
Also, Nankervis is actually my new favourite player. May have to shift the 8 off my jersey, and get the big 25 on there.
Ridley said:Played a very good game last night and I gave him a vote. But I reckon Grundy played a fantastic game and was clearly Scumwood's best. Sounds a bit odd but anyway.......... :headscratch
Nankers was just beaten by a better player on the night but still was a good contributor for us; and as easy mentioned he was huge in the last few minutes.
I love having him at the club. I liked what I saw of him at Sydney and was very happy when I heard the club was targeting him. Good old fashioned ruckman who can take a grab and kick a goal. Gives us something around the ground.
Good player.

year of the tiger said:Grundy won the battle, Tigers won the war in which Nankervis was a major contributor - confused
Hoping Nank has a day out next week against the weagles as who ever their ruck is wont be in the Kruezer / Grundy league
TigerPort said:Probably because our guys are so used to having a crap ruck that they can rove to the opposition ruck better. Second nature.

At the 20 minute mark of the last quarter, I would have said that there were many good players on the field, Grundy, Treloar, Martin, Cotchin, Pendlebury, Hoskin-Elliott (poor start but great last quarter) and Nankervis.
In the last ten minutes, Nankervis and Martin were the clear match-winners. Dusty almost scored the winning margin off his own boot in the late part of the game and Nankervis got right on top of Grundy. Did he outmark him three times in the final minutes, or just twice?
It will be interesting to see what the two coaches think on Tuesday.

Number of times Hampson has achieved any of these numbers, 0
Even sweeter, number of times Naismith has hot any of these numbers, 0
Told all my mates to put him in Fantasy teams before JLT, he's making me look like a genius.
evo said:I just love his contested marking. He takes the marks he's suppossed to. Seemed like he was everywhere in that first quarter.
He's the exact oppossite to cymbals Hampson.
thejinx said:Love this guy. Is tough, competes, clunks the ball better than almost anyone, and plays smart.
And only 22.
If he can stay healthy- he could be one of our best recruits in a long time. Quality ruckman don't come along often. Especially at 22.
