Nankervis !!

He's the chosen one. Must keep his aggression and 2/3rd efforts up through the season.

Nankervis is a plus. Hampson is a liability. As Hammer makes us worse as a team (empirically backed up by win loss and clearance numbers) arguments in favour of playing him carry little weight.

Simplistic, and I have responded to this previously so not going over old tracks.

But you went back to dredge up a post from 27th feb to say you've already responded and you're not going over old tracks.....alrighty.....

Love this guy. It's a shame maric is cooked. If both of these guys were firing we would really have a great combination on our hands.

And you want to put the worst spin on everything!? I have been both away and really flat-chat lately, so just trying to respond to some posts I missed. Call it being polite if you want ....alrighty.....

Will probably do some more ..... if that's ok with you? Or are you some kind of self-appointed censor too? Who asked you to respond BTW? Was it directed to you?

Maria brought a presence and competitiveness that made him an imposing player but Nankervis is a better footballer. More mobile and hurts players ( just ask the Chad )
We've got a keeper

Were you asked to respond to Lambys post? Didn't think so.

Said months ago Nankervis is the KEY to climbing out of the mire at this club,, bank on it .....

You keep saying this but our clearance numbers were basically the same as when Hampson rucked.

I know you love your hitouts but they mean one fifth of SFA in all but rare examples.

Firstly I haven't been able to get back to your reply until now. So sorry it's so belated.

Point 1 - As I keep responding to you restricted outlook; clearances for a poor CLR team are usually ... poor. Surprising isn't it! Cannot take advantage of a winning ruck. Our mids have been beaten up for years. We have had one HB player, DM, and two gutsy but not particularly big or strong ones, TC and AM. Hence the need to acquire far more quality and depth with the likes of Prestia, Caddy and Graham/Bolton (hopefully future upgraders)

Point 2 - So if HOs mean so little, why do we still have the 200cm+ giants in the game. Why won't PA persevere with Trengove, your hero, as first ruck now that Ryder and Lobbe are back? Having obtained the lowest HO numbers of any club in 2016, along with a drop out of flag contention even more dramatic than ours', would have nothing to do with it? I could add many more points but it's just useless trying to communicate with someone so dogmatic.

I'm tired of these circular, repetitive arguments actually. Agree to differ; you're welcome to your opinions, of course.

The 2017 season has not really begun. A long way to go if Nank is THE ruck division. Started really well in JLT, but if he gets injured ... you need more than one big man.

Are you confident in Maric as next best if required? Or Griffiths? Not me.

We have have had a long-running dialogue. See above. Stop being such a try-hard!

Everything you want in a ruck.

Fit, physical in the air & on the ground and wants to hurt.

Perfect fit, best ahead of him, great trade.

The beauty about nankervis as a foward is that he is a really strong contested mark & also if he doesnt mark the ball neither does his opponent and he 'Halves' the contest which is just as good as a mark , So long as you have the right players playing in the foward line.

Perhaps the question is, who is doing the ruck when he is plonked up forward?
