Nankervis !!

With Vickery gone (and not replaced) I reckon they will play both throughout the season. I shudder at the idea of hammer resting on the forward line though.
If Hardwick plays them both, then he has clearly not learnt a thing from last year.

We need mobility and speed in our forward half.

Bernie doesn't do learnin'.

He already knows all the answers. Stole Tony Shaw's coaching notes.

I think Nank might work. That first half of the final he played he hit Buddy on the tit with a beautiful pass which Buddy goaled from and then crashed a few packs and brought quite a few down to ground for scores.

Nice fluid kick as well.

But I can agree that it can be only one of Griff or Nank down forward at a time mostly and definitely none of Hampson.

Yes, clearly, on the basis of one game, especially if a final, you can make definite predictions.

Re goals, Hampson averaged only 0.2 p/g; whereas Nank 0.3. Again this incredible increment will undoubtedly be a transformation.

But with HOs, Hampson averaged 32.6 [AFL 5th]; whereas Nank 14.1. But Lamby will tell you, of course, this represents nothing significant such as any attacking opportunities obtained by skilled, sharp mids winning clearances from such HOs and converting them into scores or creating scoring opportunities.

Furthermore, in 2016 we were 'Ranked 1st in least Opponent Hitouts Per Game' (FW). This is also no advantage at all offensively either. But ... I just can't explain why. Never mind, I'll leave it to Lamby, the ruck guru.

PS - No doubt your expert pronouncements on poor Liam are still going to come true, just in a kind of roundabout way.

PPS - Hope there's no chance of you mozzing Nank at all, Lamby. I have fond hopes for him too - just prepared to be a little more patient perhaps.

Teams with ruck depth and who have a tendency of playing more than 1 ruck. Sydney (Naismith Tippet Sinclair), Geelong (Stanley Smith Blicavs), Giants (Mumford Lobb), Freo (Sandi, Griffin, Clarke) WC (NicNat, Lycett and Vardy) would all be possibilities depending on team selection/match-ups

Yes, posted similarly a long time back. You left out Hawthorn too, who would have been playing Ceglar, McEvoy and Roughy (if all fit), who rotates through the ruck or plays the R/R role that Blicavs has imitated for Geelong. Now they've grabbed Vickery as back-up with Ceglar out injured for some time, and Roughy was under a cloud. The Bulldogs generally played 2 rucks, with their Roughead and Boyd a winning combination in the GF. By end of 2016 season, even Roos were generally playing Daw to support Goldstein as well as Petrie for some further chop-out and KPF.

So, incidentally, that makes the top 8 all playing at least 2 rucks, with some even playing a 3rd mobile type who can go forward and be close to a dangerous KPF (for us Griff).

'He almost put some of our players in hospital with his atttack and tackling.'

That's what Mcqualter said in the latest video on RFC.

me too. he has mummyesque ferocity it seems.

but I think they should give him a xanax in intraclubs.

there is nothng I love more in this game, than a big, snakey ruckman.

Ohhhh yeah. Bloody priceless having a big ugly nasty bastard organising around the contest. Makes life so much easier for all those overpaid midget onballers.

They said the same about Townsend last year as well.

Doesn't go to ground like Townsend did most of last year. Keeps his feet and kicks very well apart from his tackling.

Time will tell!

I will reserve my judgement until he plays in the big time with us. Until now I have had reservations about whether he is quick and agile enough to play AFL at a high level.

Has Sam Fisher left the hospital after his run in with Tankervis last year? He certainly didn't play again and I can't see him on St Kilda's list. ;D

I want to believe but there has been too many disappointments with our recruiting
Proof will be when he plays in the real season not a intra club game
