Really? Late, reckless, direct hit on the jaw with the point of the shoulder. I reckon he could easily get 4. And I reckon he'd deserve them if he did. That was a stupid and a gutless hit. He's been really good since his return, and was pretty close to his best in that game. We need him, but your captain shouldn't be dishing out cheap shots.

So the rules are, hit a player on the head, if he goes off with concussion, it's automatically tribunal, but if no concussion it's MRO.
Bummer's Phillips hit on O'Brien looks exactly the same motion as Nank and copped 1 week from MRO. Why can't these just stay with MRO???

The “pile on” towards our Captain here has been very disappointing.
Gutless and cheap shot seems to be the common theme towards him rather than late and clumsy.
Wonder what Tony Shaw would think of these supporters?
If Nanks had got him slightly lower, like Buddy did on Balta, it would simply have been a free downfield.
I wonder whether Swan supporters are calling Buddy gutless and a cheap shot atm?

Was O’Brien concussed? If not it’s a simple explanation (although i disagree with it).
Happened in last 80 seconds O’Brien got up holding his jaw and took his kick Late concussion ? Who knows
Crows would have had to have submitted a medical report and still assessed him for concussion because implications for him playing the following week.

Going after the behavior should yield more consistent impact to society IMO - but for the victims of the consequence there is often a need to see the perpetrator punished...
