Nankervis !!

Next week when our opponent is getting “arrogant and cocky” who do we despatch to do the deed? Grimes, he needs to get real about being captain and clock a few blokes. Or is it a job for Soldo? Jack needs a break maybe him?
who decides the target? Is that an on field decision or is there a an Assistant Coach for Smacking the Opponent. I am curious.
It's not quite a need to have someone running around smacking blokes old school. But there's always been a need for a mean n nasty physical and mental " enforcer " or two in the game. There's moments and efforts in games that always make the oppo think twice and your team mates stand a little taller and prouder.
Nank is one for us, Foosh Pickett is another, Flossy tackled some Swannie second half of the game and folded him perfectly, the bloke came up sucking hard for air n trying not to chunder at the same time. Grub for years has played the niggly awkward knees n elbows did I fall on you defender role. Who can forget the Cotchinator's physical efforts over the years, two in particular Shiel and the Mummy.

Didn’t say it was tough.
But you said it was cheap crap.
Physical intimidation on a football field is always worthwhile.
And the head high contact was incidental and unfortunately he’ll get weeks whilst Buddy’s action goes unpunished for the same action which fortunately for him, and our player, didn’t cause injury.
Ban the bump if we have to because that’s the only way they’ll achieve consistency and not rely on luck.
But I still object to calling a currently legal action cheap crap.
The sad bit, Nank can be plenty tough without needing to do this particular act.

He ran into a guy who'd just handballed. He had no time to defend himself, and going by slow motion replays, wasn't really prepared for the knock. He has his head facing a different direction, looking at Parker. It's cheap. It's not tough to hit someone who's not even looking at you.

As I've said before, if it was a Geelong player doing it to a Tiger, people would be complaining about it being dirty. Need to take off the yellow and black glasses.

Nanks in 10th this year for hitouts to advantage with 9. The leader Witts is on 12.4. That's less than 1 per quarter. This is also why I don't put alot of weight on HTAs and much more emphasis on a ruckman's influence at ground level. And this is where Nanks excels. Of ruckmen, 2nd most spoils, most pressure acts, moat tackles. He's a beast and causes panic amongst the opposition midfielders. We're going to miss him.

I reckon they'll give him 3 weeks but we can appeal to reduce to 2. It doesn't look as brutal as De Gooooooooey's or others before.

Nank might only get 1 or 2 weeks if brings a heap of hot party pies and sausage rolls with him, that's the main priority at the tribunal.

Thought this was a Richmond forum where yellow and black glasses were mandatory for short sightedness, and not worn for a fashion statement only on sunny days.
I’ll stick to supporting my Captain. In any weather.

love your optimism. it's richmond don't forget , minimum 3 wks. expect 3 , could get the 1 game RFC tax for max of 4
If they give 4, we might’ve able to argue it down to 3, but knowing how much they hate us, they’ll probably increase it to 5 for being cheeky.

And May for the Dees left a bit of carnage in his wake last night with two Saints going off. Cordy with concussion after copping a May knee in a marking contest and May was very near King when his shoulder seemed to dislocate again. Nank is that type of player for us but he has to avoid shouldering guys in the jaw after disposing of the ball, causing concussion. As captain he has to be smarter than that.

Yep he's got too much clumsiness in him which is why it pees me off when he rucks and plays the rover just after. He does too much too many times which isn't needed. We can argue his clumsiness caused the bump as it didn't look intentional.

Horse was crook about The Lloyd hit. (without saying it).

I reckon he was crook on 2 counts.
The hit.

Nank was a Swannies player wasn't he?
He was on your books.

Thanks Syd A Knee!

Nank is a Triple Premiership Player.

Constructive criticism makes us better. Sticking our head in the sand won't.

Also, how many HTA actually lead to a clean, intentional clearance in which the ball neatly ends up in the arms of a forward up the field?

It almost never happens. Hitouts are merely random events in my mind. If you can't cleanly control the ball from the umpire's bounce to the goal starting with a hitout, then hitouts are pointless.

Reckon Nankster needs to ramp it up n bring the mini spring rolls n dim sims for snackies, could even go all fancy special n sneak in a bit of prawn toast.

De Goo will be at the centre of discussion before the tribunal. Nank certainly doesn't deserve 4.

I looked up the Degoey one after someone mentioned it last night
