Nankervis !!

Knew Nank was playing when he gave away a free in the back about 9 seconds into the game.
And that dropped mark at half forward……oh dear.

not too worried about Nank, first game back. We have other problems.
Na, he's a warrior but he's done. The problem is Ryan is not ready to play as the No.1 ruck. Soldo is injury prone and has never regained form, after the shove. But i'd play Soldo in front of Nank every time, Nank is no longer the future.

Only beaten once in final which is incredible as a severely undersized ruck, huge tiger legend. But we need to look to the future.

Agree - no point recruiting clearance players if we haven’t got a ruck to give it to them. I’d be up to trade Nankervis if we had a decent offer.

I thought he was one of the few busting his gut , yes he did look a tad rusty which is fair enough , however thought he influenced us in a positive , still our clear starting ruck imho .

Just had a look at the stats , nearly got a 100 points , not bad first up for a Ruck

A tiger legend. Probably put his hand up to play when he shouldn’t have.
If we had won by a point we’d probably just say he’ll be better for the run.

I was watching the ruck set up last night. It didn't work anywhere near as well as last week. Nank was terrible up forward as well.
Not sure what the answer is.
Well, if he can't mark (finger injury) and he can't jump (ankle injuries) then why keep selecting him? Because he's a co-captain? Never liked that idea either. Been a great premiership player for us but time for him to ride off into the sunset, along with Dion, Jack, Cotch who are all Tiger legends.

Leadership is sometimes knowing when to put your hand up and say you're not right. Based on last night, he wasn't right and shouldn't have played.

Out performed plenty of our other players last night so I'm guessing probably half our players weren't right n shouldn't have played.

Disagree. Think he’s a major part of our problems. Can’t influence clearance and has been poor around the ground.
Really disappoints me the potting of Nanks. First game back but he outplayed Draper in the first half. In fact, in the whole game, he had 7 hitouts to advantage, Draper only 5. Efficient disposal 13 to 10, tackles 6 to 0, score involvements 4 to 3. Pressure acts, according to the Sun, 48 to 6. And only played 72% game time to 86%. The guy's first game back in 6 weeks, dropped a couple of marks he'd normally take, a bit underdone so petered out. Totally expected.

He's beaten Draper in almost every facet of the game. I honestly wonder what people expect from him. Seems it's the end of his career for some but if every player put in an effort the way he does, we would have won the game easily.

Exactly - yeah he made some howlers but it's his first game back.

He's clearly a much better option than Soldo who gives little on the deck and around the ground, even when both are fully fit. Keeps his spot and will build a good partnership with Ryan.

He needed a run in the vfl that was poor coaching and add to that Ryan and Miller we're looking good in the ruck and what we do we abandon it lol.

Nank did fine but this thing of bringing the 'champs' straight back into the 1sts is a little questionable ..

as far as being a 'co-captain' - i've rarely seen Nank or Grimes get around the younger players in support

perfect example last night when Mansell missed.. why not get over to him, chill him out a bit before the kick, that's leadership .. innit?

Nank and Grimes are great footballers, but perhaps they're lieutenants, not generals

Yep, no where near what Chimp has showed over the years.

Not Captain next year .Grimes either ( the later lucky to get another year ).
No time for the devoted ...
The club needs to set out a clear plan to get as many draft picks as possible ..
Trade out players who are just about done ...
Go hard or stay irrelevant..
