i thought he might have got 1 match and a big fine ... that way Geelong are looked after and the AFL get some coin ..

Yes contact occured, but if the umprie wasnt in the middle of all the players, then there would of been no chance for it to happen.

3 weeks seems reasonable, hard to prove it was deliberate, so hard to maintain a really long suspension.

I saw some report comparing it to the 1 week Hawkins got some time ago, anyone remember that one and if it was similar?

35 other players on the ground and not one other managed to touch an umpire.

Coincidentally against GWS too. He pushed Margetts' hand away then claiming he thought it was a GWS player's hand. Margetts was more defensive than what Stevic was in this one yelling out "hey don't touch me", but Tomcat only got 1 week.
