McLachlan and Hocking must resign!

Talking about contract extensions for our gun players, let's get Benny locked in for 10 years. Because the AFL could come knocking very very soon if the Commission aren't asleep.

And AFL execs who can quite easily call potato head Dutton and arrange a visa for their au pair.

Self interest always wins.

Given this news today is it any surprise the AFL acts with such hubris and contempt??
Instead of governing our game, they act like some half arsed political party!

Now we know what is happening with all the cash they make from fines.

Well, you don't seriously expect him to pay for his au pair out of his own meagre pocket, surely?

Dusty should have a chat to Gill at the Brownlow about him getting his mate Dutton to reverse his decision on his dad. Even better if happens to go back to back Brownlows he should ask Gill during his acceptance speach.

Not what you know , its who you know.

Politians most corrupt and Gill , the kahunas to ask for favours and Dutton doing it.

What a surprise. !

No mention of Gill's attempt to use his pull with a Federal Minister for personal gain on afl.com. Not like they have a policy of not reporting off-field news and scandals, we've had cuz and bomber. funny, they must have just overlooked it.

Yep family is important to Gil, just ask Dusty

Hey! One was born with a strong sense of entitlement, the other definitely not. Get it clear.

Doesn't want to talk about it. Probably trying to ride it out till after the finals, hoping it will be all forgotten in the off season.

AFL boss Gillon McLachlan did not respond to questions on Tuesday night.

The AFL declined to comment earlier on Tuesday

This is even more disgusting than I realised. So this is the kind of person who rises to be the top controller of the (Australian) people's game?

No wonder those everyday people who made and continue to make the AFL the great success it is, feel so disenfranchised. I just gave up in disgust at the fiasco of trying to find my way through Ticketek's maze of a website to get a finals ticket, after attending nearly all HG in '18. And this is what Gill, family and his cronies get up to with their fat salary packages and entitlement to all privileges.

So Gill helps out his poor country farmer (who's dad is worth $320 million) and convinces Dutton to perform a great "humanitarian act" and gets the attractive white au-pair released from detention. Daddy MacLachlan then donates $50k to the liberals. No story here!

Gil has got to go alright.

I’m confused by everyone’s surprise. This is how the world of the rich and shameless operates. Happens every day of the week.

As the saying goes “with rank comes privilege’

without having read too much into it, i dont know i blame McLaughlin. no harm in asking for a favour- assuming there was there was no trade off from the AFL.
Dutton on the other hand......

No surprise from me. As said previously this is how privelage works which is why most of "us" cannot relate to "these" wankers.

McLachlan, like many politicians, would fail the "pub Test" of whether he is a *smile* or not ... knob of the highest order, just like his mate Dutton
