If Clarke can nail this draft it will go a long way to setting us up for the next decade.

Massive off season for Clarke. Time is on their side but Stacky and Pickett are the only players taken since 2018 that have consistently performed at AFL level. Mansell, Dow, Ralphy and MJ were brushed aside last night.
Astute,and correct

That's harsh. Do you remember when GWS entered the AFL their youngsters and I'm not talking pics 1, 2, 3 were easily pushed aside by their more mature and experienced opposition.
Dow, Ralpsmith and Junior have played under 10 games., still babies in footy terms.
Mansell about a dozen games and still only 20

These players once they put on more size, gain more experience and have a few preseasons under their belts will be regulars.

Fair enough. I probably should wait for a bit before posting after a bad loss.

Basher could take captain of vfl plus his role in his academy.
Naish to rookie.
Egg delisted.
Garth delisted.
Bigoa to rookie.
Chol free agency.
The problem is guys who have hardly played in 2 years and judging them.

See no reason why we would rookie Naish, would just take up list space if he is not going to play games in the seniors.

Just on GWS it *smile* me that they will get the Pie's pick 3 in the draft, will it ever end they have been getting top 10 picks since their inception.

As skills are so vital in 2021 and beyond, is it not worth persisting with Naish over a draftee?

How did they end up with it?
Collingwood traded it to them so they wouldn't have to use on father son, (expected No.1 pick), Nick Dacos.

Of course pie's had no idea they would be this crap this year, if they had they probably could have extracted a better deal for themselves but GWS rubbing their hands.

What did gws give away to get the pick?

The Giants traded Picks 24 and 30 plus a 2021 fourth rounder for Collingwood's first pick this year.

Really? That is extraordinary. Lessened their position although will end of with Daicos anyway but strengthened an opposition team. There is no upside to the Pies in that deal.

Not unsympathetic to what you are saying, but, who's spot does he take? In other words, who de we trade/delist to keep him?

If the rumors of Caddy being on the way out are true then as of right now I'd be doing this.

I'd be prepared to move on all these guys.

Houli retire with honours.

Caddy trade table if rumors he is on his way out are true.

Naish trade table or delist

Ross trade table

Chol trade delist let go whatever.

Garth Delisted

Egg Delisted

Miller to rookie list or delist but may need to persist one more year due to no one else.

Nyuon to rookie list to free up senior list spot.

Martyn I would've been happy to move on also until he was re signed.

We most likely wouldn't cut that deep but I think we can certainly afford to and probably need to to bring in as much new talent as possible.

We are not really losing anything from the list going forward doing the above.
