Lynch !!

Got exactly what it deserved. Seriously the AFL media have turned into a bunch of chicken little Karens. Drama queens to the max, looking for cheap click and listens.

God forbid they actually do some JOURNALISM to earn their listeners/readers. Nothing but cheap shock-jock crap. This is where i have some respect for Sam McClure - that piece he did on the Crows camp actually involved some legit journalism. I think he is quite decent

He also stood up to Fat Eds bullying on the Jack Stevens story

Fair point but no free against for what Tom did either. That's probably because it was nothing much anyway; bit of a love-tap. Prefer players don't do this stuff but it's been going on forever ... once you cross that white line. Clearly it's all intended to get inside opponents' head and undermine confidence. A little surprised with some on here making such a fuss about what Tom did.

Because I am usually so critical, well-done MRP. Got it right and even picked up Andrews for worse x 2 offence that feral RFC-hating media didn't even spot. But there was a lot of niggle going on last night - especially early.
But Jack Dyer would be having a giggle about the carry-on over this stuff.

Very rarely agree with you but can’t fault you on this one. Begrudgingly

Pretty weak cheap shot as far as i'm concerned. Got away lightly. If you want to have a crack do it properly...

What was the problem with that? Incidental contact in going for the ball. No idea why it was a free to be honest. I thought Nichols dived.

There's actually a reverse angle shot of that shirt front. In colour I think. Maybe one of those Rothman's tapes. Let's just say it doesn't look good for Fowler and his slightly raised elbow... I'll stick with this view. No problems!

I think I've seen that footage actually.

Anyway, did Fowler get reported? I don't think he did from memory, so, clearly nothing to see here ;)

PS: actually, did Balme get reported in that game? I'm not sure he did!

Naturally, an article in today's paper said he "escaped with a fine." In other words, intimating he was lucky.

Maybe he was but other players up before the panel don't "escape."

Of course the real Nichols dive occurred exactly 7 years and 2 weeks earlier

When Fowler dropped the big thieving mongrel Carlton lump here he did it for himself, the team, the fans and the flag - but also for a bit of Karma for Neville Crowe
Must have felt like the karma bus actually

No, he didn't. He did get reported for belting Swan McKay the year before.

We never looked like losing after Big Nick was flattened!

Lauren Wood from the Hun reporting on Lynch’s fine: “ Richmond Star Tom Lynch has escaped with a slap on the wrist for his shove to the back of the head of Brisbane’s Alex Witherden.”

It feels like Lauren was disappointed with the outcome.

Hawkins elbows a bloke in the head & "gets away with it". Sure he went to the tribunal & appealed, but he still "got away with it".
NO PENALTY AT ALL, No fine or anything as far as I can see.

A push to the back of the head or an elbow to the head, which is the more dangerous. Hmmm
But the push is deemed "a bad look for the game" Pleeeaase spare me

The problem is Lynchy's not playing in blue & white hoops. Simples

There is certainly a surplus of football journalists out there battling for relevancy. I've tried to stop reading footy articles where possible - there is a lot of garbage floating around.

1k if I recall correctly. ..... as for Lynch, the outrage appears to roll on... thug! Time for the commission to step in and throw him out of the game for conduct unbecoming!

Hi David, the other angle is in this video that I posted a few months ago. It is rare colour footage from the 1973 Grand Final. If you go to the 3.30 mark, you get another angle that I had never seen before.
