Ironic isn't it. Andrews gets a fine for a dangerous tackle (assume it was the 1 in the 3rd when Jack went after him). Decision on field - ball up. Says it all really for what was happening in last nights game. If its bad enough for a fine, surely we should have received a free kick for it?
according to afl website it was for something he did to Lynch in the 3rd quarter.
It's a *smile* joke the AFL media hacks.... they've spent the whole day and hours last night banging on about Tom Lynch like he's the biggest *smile* hitman since Merret ..... and the choir boy he's playing on never rates a mention and cops a bigger sanction.

$1k for a dangerous tackle on Lynch??? Don’t remember that one! If I’m thinking of the one , was it with Andrews??? Just thought it was borderline but not dangerous. Have to have another look.
Pretty sure it was the one where he dumped Tom about 25m out dead in front. Jack then went after Andrews for it, but of a fight started, whilst the ump just throws the ball up.
Geez there are some precious nancies floating about. Love Lynch's aggression and nasty streak, don't care what he did or "the look" and the fine is ridiculous let alone being suspended.

It's the kind of thing that comes back to bite you so he should cut it out. In this case it was the lions players copping it after they were patting our blokes on the head when they were holding the ball last year. Looking at you Cam....
Fair point but no free against for what Tom did either. That's probably because it was nothing much anyway; bit of a love-tap. Prefer players don't do this stuff but it's been going on forever ... once you cross that white line. Clearly it's all intended to get inside opponents' head and undermine confidence. A little surprised with some on here making such a fuss about what Tom did.
Because I am usually so critical, well-done MRP. Got it right and even picked up Andrews for worse x 2 offence that feral RFC-hating media didn't even spot. But there was a lot of niggle going on last night - especially early.
But Jack Dyer would be having a giggle about the carry-on over this stuff.
Meanwhile Andrews got $1000 for throwing him to the ground in a dangerous tackle...
