Luke Meehan Richmond Strength & Conditioning Coach Interview

Did he want to go or was he pushed? Either way we need to find someone seriously competent to run a S & C department and ensure their subordinates are up to the job. No sentiment, be ruthless to get the very best in place

Always such a crucial role , however with so many kids coming onto the list it’s hugely important to fill the position with the absolute best we can find starting our cubs out in the best condition they can be

Start at the top and work our way down , this is a time we need to pay what it takes after investing so heavily into the draft

Have never seen an injury run like it & most disconcerting was the long recovery times, misdiagnosis & repeat injuries.

The player's health is the club's number one asset. Be interesting to know who ticked off on Luke's appointment initially. Have to expect it was Livo.

Gotta learn from it.

Should make you the dietitian. Fast track the protein intake and body weights of the young kids. Lot of work to do with Jagga.

Needs to be remembered Luke has been at the club over a decade & there over our successful period too.
He didn't hire himself & can't really blame him for having the ambition to take the reigns. Has no doubt done his best.
Sure a change had to be made but good luck to him.

Yeah I remember he sounded a bit unsure in the video when he took the reigns.

Nah. Probably shouldn't have taken the role, or worded up the club that he was over his head as the lead fitness staff member.

Second fiddle, seems to have been already, but appeared to be a disaster from the get-go when in charge.*

*As appears from an uneducated punter on the outside of 'the four walls'.

Absolutely. Might have been out if his depth. Might not have been supported by the club either due to the soft cap, we'll probably never know.
Either way hope he succeeds at his next stop. Hoping it's with Dimma on the Coast.

Meehan was a disaster in this role, and now he's gone, but who appointed him?

That persons head should roll as well, given how terrible the decision to appoint him was.

No more internal appointments please.

Spend and poach the best. This is an area you cannot go shopping for in the bargain bin.
