Luke McGuane

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Moore shouldnt be in conversation about delisting/trading etc... we need to decide at the end of this season what to do with Luke and Will

never questioned him? sounds like if he doesn't following your list management you will be:

Hislop has zero value. Massive dud ie Tim Fleming. If Hardwick keeps him on I will start to question him big time as I think many others will.

I'd still supporter him as coach but I think Hislop is gone regardless. Probably an overreaction to a rumour and 1 off.

I also think it's laughable that you're targeting me like I'm the only one on this site who speaks my mind. Plenty of offenders.

nothing wrong speaking your mind, its your 100% blind belief you are always right and the professionals are wrong that cracks me up

Quite hilarious and ironic you're questioning me on my posts about being right all the time. Obviously never read any of your own posts, you go around with a know it all holier than thou attitude. I honestly don't care but don't see me calling you out for it.

When a poster is so intent on being 100% correct to the point of stating their opinions as fact, they will always be called out. Don't play the victim here.

Everyone states their opinion as fact on this website. This argument is stupid. That's their belief, of course they will be confident about it. Never is anyone going to be 100% right all the time and obviously don't feel the need to add "IMO" in front of every post to please people like you.

If you want to get personal then I'm happy to do so. You regularly take little digs and pot shots at posters in your posts. I'm sure others have noticed it. So again, ironic you're telling me to not play innocent.

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Few examples as you stating opinion as fact Baloo. Apparently I'm the only one who does it though. Looks like you're a hypocrite.

Baloo said:
I don't think they've written Luke or Willy T off yet. If they had of then your poster boy Gourdis would have played a hand full of matches by now. But he hasn't.

Stats may say 2008 but his influence on games this year is better than ever.

If Post can't get a decent run then Beavis and crew don't believe he is ready for it yet.

It's very simple Terry. When you stop talking about the RFC, we'll stop taking shots at you.

Actually, not just us, most average footy tragics have had enough of the Terry "never my fault" Wallet persona.

Message to the players.

Keep away from this site when we lose because the constant poo flingers will go to town after having to bite their tongues for 7 weeks.

They hate being shown up as wrong and will come storming in with pages and pages of "Dud. Delist. Not our future. I and a few others called it earlier".

Just ignore them.

Baloo said:
Or he realises that the sacrifice now of being away for a year or two will in turn most likely lead to a better life for his son and family.

Short term pain for long term gain. But being a Gen Y, relton won't understand that concept.

We don't want to give the kid credit ? What crap. Some are just trying to keep realistic expectations on a Rookie's possible first game in the seniors.

We may play well but realistically he'll be caught off guard by the pace of the AFL like most first gamers. I'd hate for the hype to into instant dud labelling as is so common amoungst RFC supporters.

Baloo said:
The thinking that seperates the "Dud" labellers and those of us that see a future in the White types is simple.

The Duds see improved performance and base their opinion on the presumption that what they saw is the best the player will ever be.

The rest see an improved performance and are happy to give these players more time to see if they keep improving or whether they have reached their peak before making a call.

So far, White has been showing constant improvement. Who knows how far he will go. I'm happy to give him the rest of the year to see what he can make of himself.

The duds will wait for the first drop in form and declare themselves right in calling for the axe years ago. I'm not sure if the Duds need to make these calls early to keep their ego stroked or whether they are just premature ejectulators.

Whatever the reason, White is making them look silly so far this season.

Various people bag all of our players. Cotch, Lids and Martin included.

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Heh, nice try Barney but if you think those comments are anything like 100% calls on what the coaching staff and RFC should be doing then I'll just take T74's advice and leave you alone.

Chalk it up as a win for you, you've certainly outdone me this time.

List Managers make List decisions not newly appointed coaches who don't know the players.
Have repasted here posts from other similarly misguided threads

Again and again and again and again. You are WRONG. Hardwick did NOT let him go. Cameron and Campbell made those list decisions.

I keep saying it and all you thickheads just keep tying it back to Hardwick. I understand your funny little idea of wanting a Messiah to lead us out of the wilderness requires the new coach is always that Messiah and makes all the decisions but try to show some insight into AFL football and its operation. If you don't understand how a modern AFL club operates then don't make such ignorant comments.

The LIST MANAGER makes decisions about the LIST, particularly when the NEW coach has just arrived.

Hardwick on SEN with Ox and Francis

* List - Haven't made any decisions so far. Next week start that process with Cameron. Get the inside word from them on who's worth staying and going.

Hardwick on 3aw with Healy and Russell @ 6.10pm

* List - Cameron will be away in perth this week so we'll wait till next. Always a tough job but we'll make decisions to take the list forward.

* Slightly compromised draft this year and severely next year. Very lucky to have Cameron running that side of things and he's very astute. He'll be taking a lot of advice from him.

Except when your name is Voss.

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

I have heard around the traps that Luke might be going in under the knife. Does anyone know if this is true?

What plastic surgery?

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

He wasnt bad tonight but he's not the future.

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Solid, not great though; hampson mark was disappointing, but hampson is one of those good athlete bad footballer types who can always flash a bit

Re: Luke McGuane = Guts

Gave nothing.

Tonight we saw run and carry involving all of the back line and mids, every time McGuane got a touch the flow stopped.

Looks like he will give a free away every contest.

Needs to be phased out.
