Luke McGuane

22 games for 16 goals but obviously there's more than that, the making space, the defensive forward role etc has worked.

McGuane's klicked 13 of them. A Edwards 3 in 6 games. Dismal failure really.

Edwards will still be contracted next year won't he? Didn't we give him two or three years? If one goes, it'll be McGuane.

Thankfully Edwards only received a 1 year contract.

Huh. I guess that makes sense. Personally, I don't see a lot between Edwards and McGuane. I'd probably rather see Edwards than McGuane line up on game day. But I guess the age difference falls in McGuanes favour.

I'd definitely be shopping Luke around during the trade period. He may have worked himself into having some currency.

Luke's been shopped around many times. He's just not quite AFL material unfortunately. Not a lot to work with. You know he'll give his best shot but little up side left. Yeah Edwards in his younger days would have had a bit of upside potential but he's nearly 30. By rights both should be delisted but until we can get that extra proven tall in the forward line we're probably going to see one of them continue next year.

Agree. Here's hoping with Astbury, Mcbean, Vickery, and potentially Elton developing as talls, we wont need either of them past next year.

I'm guessing the "reality" is BETWEEN MCguane and A Edwards we,ve done alright out of them. Neither of them are going to be vital, long term answers but as a combined whole they've done the job ( so far) for 2013. 22 games for 16 goals but obviously there's more than that, the making space, the defensive forward role etc has worked.

16.8 for Luke from 10. Aadwards 3.4 from 6.

Free agent. He can do as he pleases.

A successful campaign involves more than your best 22. Its a very basic truism of footy. Luke having a great year as the gnarly old unfashionable fringe player. (I wouldn't call Edwards a failure either on the backup/ fringe player front, not a raging success, but not a failure, and the year is not over. and 1 year remember).

Very good first half. One of our best.

1 touch after half time. That is not good enough.

Just an audition for his new club. Vossy might now offer a 4th round pick instead of a 5th round pick. Will lose my sh!t if he's as Richmond in 2014

Again, some perspective please. 'lose your *smile*'? He done his job as a depth KPP this year, no worries.

Thought he was close to BOG in the first half. Was on fire and could do no wrong. As usual he faded later on but our players didn't help our forwards any in the 2nd half with a very poor performance.

Just got back from the game. He was absolutely awful today. Got on his bike and moved around in the first quarter, got himself force fed a couple of goals, but he just can not play.

He has the football nous of Nahas' left boot, the fine touch of a tyrannosaurs in mittens, and the agility of a drunken, paraplegic elephant with it's head up a blue whale.

He sucks the run out of the players around him, and extinguishes creative spark.

Enough.
