The reality is that as a backman that was all fair criticism. It is fantastic coaching that has resurrected his career. Luke never failed to apply himself.
I also liked the move of Newy back to where he fits best, if he isn't going to kick goals he must play along half back. Batch will get his turn in due course. I feel better for Newy being down there than Batch at this stage but it's great to know that we have Batch in the waiting.
This conversation makes me think that they will need to make a decision on Griffiths at some stage. I just can't see him being a long term backman. His only genuine asset down there is height so do we want to waste years of development trying to get something out of him that he doesn't have?? He's very young so there's time but I just hope they get it right with him sooner rather than later. Does anyone think he could cut it on the wing?
