List Management 2023

I believe it depends on how many rookies in total eg you can have 6 rookies, 5 normal, 1 cat b or 4 normal and 2 cat b.

Cat B's are additional to the normal rookie list. i.e. don't impact how many "normal" rookies you take.

Basically a free hit (outside the coaching resources to train them).

At least think that's right. Easily confused with list numbers.

I don’t think that’s right - the list consists of 36-38 main list players and 4-6 category A rookies to sum to 44 overall (ie 38 plus 6, 39 plus 5 or 40 plus 4). Clubs are allowed up to three category B rookies on top of this.

Edit as Leysy also said the Cat B rookies sit outside the 44.

Did he actually find his way to Punt Road? If Colina was a business ASIC would be having a long hard look at him.

I don’t mind that we have a punt on a player but geez they should be an animate object first.
Colina is a money laundry scheme.

After seeing Banks, Trezise & Brown flourishing on the big stage towards season’s end I’m quietly excited by the prospect of forgotten Tiger Kaleb Smith next season too..

The mail has been strong for over a year that we're getting Jacob Koschitzke. 23 years old, 196cm. 48 games, 54 goals - half of which came in 2021, his first and best year. 18 goals last year (16 games) and 9 this year from 12 games.

This is not an AFL key forward. He's a backman. That's where he played as a kid, and that's where his future lies in the bigs, if he has one. That's okay, we need a backman. He's strong aerially and good one-on one. Excellent. He can release Balta to the forward line. Should be relatively cheap. Third-rounder? If we can trade out Hugo for a third that's a big win.

Now, how do we get Tarryn Thomas?

B: Young Koschitzke Gibcus
HB: Rioli Broad Vlastuin
C: Pickett Thomas Ross
HF: Baker Martin Prestia
F: Balta Lynch Cumberland
R: Ryan Taranto Bolton
I: (from) Hopper Short Trezise Clarke Banks Brown Bauer Sonsie Rioli Coutlhard

Hugo, Graham, KMac, Soldo, Vlastuin, Short, Cumbo, Sonz, Miller all on the table for the right price. Most wouldn't fetch much, but we're trying to bundle for pick 4. Floss or Short might get you a pick around 20.

Campbell the one to watch hopefully he gets through pre season uhindered . I was looking forward to seeing kaleb but my expectations are tempered with Kaleb has had to deal with a navicular if I’m not mistaken even though they put it down as an ankle injury, I do recall seeing it a few times mentioned.
Happy to be corrected but the kid pretty much spent the season in a moon boot.
Theres also a chance he might not get on the park. Naviculars and Lis francs in the feet are often career killers.
Hopefully thats not the case with Kaleb as he looked quite promising pre season, athletic and agile.

Surprised you’re happy to nurse Pickett but have cut McKintosh from the entire list.

McIntosh for many many reasons stays before Pickett
Obviously it depends on Marlion's court case, but all things being equal I keep him ahead of KMac. And you won't find anyone who's been more of a KMac supporter along the journey.
