Little Ziggyadee: “What was Hartley thinking recruiting Geelong duds like Simpson? We should never recruit anyone else’s rejects. Sack Hartley now!”

That sound about right?

I don't think Simpson has been the same since he was knocked out by his own player in the 2020 grand final.
Can we get Menagola

Certainly hasnt.

Dont know if hes had other injury issues but he definately dropped off the radar post 2020.

He was flying at that stage was young Simpson.

Prestia and Vlastuin havent been the same players since they both got sniped out either.

BigV has been ok but Prestia is equivalent to Michael Pickering when he was knocked out by Geoff Miles. He was never the same player

Sam Simpson yep had a bad run with injuries .If he can get his body right he could be a good pick up ...Is he worth a late draft pic ???

Except he was 3rd in our b&f in 2022 and very nearly won it
Not after the ko.
He has lucky to be BOG in 3 games since the KO.
He wouldve won the B&F by 100 votes if he didn't get Kod.
How many votes did he get after the Geelong game?
The game I can remember him playing well in was against WC at the G.
Besides a 10 minute spurt here and there he hasn't been any near as good

Know nothing about him but Cats fans describe him as a classy player with plenty of time. Seems like injuries have curtailed a promising career. Played well in a final

Lots of careers being affected by concussion.

Too many collision injuries in the AFL. Game is too congested & too fast IMHO.

The reason he's not playing is because he's bog ordinary. Very slow. Mediocre in most everything.

Pass big time.

I would never disagree with you, Navy,

The Dees have certainly got a lot right since recruiting Lever and May (both of which they were criticised for early on when they fell back down the ladder in 2019).
Funnily enough the Dees future tall forwards eggs are all very much in the JVR basket- (and maybe defender turned key forward Petty).
While your other favourites, the Cats, still rely on a 42yo and Cameron (30+).

That's not a knock on those recruiters, but probably highlights how hard it is to fill key forward spots.
Blair stated on a podcast that they build a list needs over 3 to 4 years as u can't get all the pieces at once.
