Liam McBean

Unless he kicks 10 today I think Hampson will replace Vickery next week. I don't think McBean figures in Hardwick's plans at all for 2014.

Let's hope McBean kicks 6 today and Hamspud continues to drop everything that comes his way. Makes it hard for Dimma not to do the right thing.

as much as i want to see Beanie, he aint a ruckman. That would be like taking a McLaren on the Oodnadata track.

Hammer in for TV, if Jimmy Jess fails to convince the jury that TV was oxyden deprived form Coxs low blow, and had rain in his eyes.

Look, kicking bag fulls of goals every week is one thing, but what's his defensive pressure like?

Yeah, how will he ever develop into that back pocket forward with just kicking bags of goals!

Didn't win the game.

Spoke to Liam this week and he confirmed that Hardwick has asked him to work on one or two things before he gets a senior game.

So once that perpetual motion machine is finalised and the Gaza peace plan implemented, watch out for Beanie.

Go Dimma!!

It feels a bit that way.

I don't know what this boy has left to accomplish at VFL level to get a crack at it.

No idea one he will come in. Having said that, he would be a super interesting match up for Dustin Fletcher this week.

Obviously goal kicking isn't one of them!

That's the easy bit that the Beanie has already mastered. It's the defensive work, locking the ball into the forward line n two way running without the ball that's not natural at under 18 level. Just a bit harder to learn, but so easily exploited at senior level, that the coaches probably need him to work on.
Thought that was the whole point of taking full control of our reserves team. It's not win loss at magoos level it's about teaching our up n coming youngsters to cover all facets of the game so they can slot seamlessly into the seniors when they get their chance and contribute properly where win loss is important.
Much as the purists might hate to admit it. Stodgy boring old restrictive defence controls the game and sets up the wins, flashy open play only excites the fans and leaves way to many holes for the good defensive teams to rebound and score through.

Had 19 hitouts, 3 clearances and 9 of his 11 touches were contested. Plus 4 goals.

It's time. It's overtime.

its time to remove any perceived ambiguity in the Daniher/McBean debate.

My faith had been waivering slightly about a month ago. Can you forgive me fellas?

Surely this would be a record for most pages on a thread before the player has even made his debut ;D
