Liam McBean

With Griffiths and Elton improving - does this mean we can keep our saviour mcbean "safely" under wraps until the addition "pole" is a has Bean?

Its time to start the Beanie to Debut as close to good friday as possible campaign. reasons below

1. we play the lions on thursday 17 April at 7.50pm. I understand, this will be the closest AFL football has ever been played to Good Friday. The game will officially conclude only 10 minutes before GF.

2. If you correct time anomolies (Qld has no daylight savings and even though daylight savings has finished by this time, qld'ers tend to get confused easily and most will wind there clocks forward by an hour) this game will finish ON good friday. a global first.

3. The Gabba is 1607km closer to Bethlehem than the MCG.

4. Lots of us give up hope for lent. a beanie debut on GF would be the perfect break out.

5. Catholics are a big market. If benny markets this right, velcro's liam to a goalpost pre-game, stuff like that, we could get 3 billion new members and buy nat fyfe

what do you bloke reckon? BeanE2DebU4GF. get it viral.

McBean could still take spectacular grabs whilst velcroed to the goal post, no doubt.

Might twist the ankle again trying to nail the set shot.

McBean gives pre-game speech to the team in his first senior game

Now when McBean saw the Richmond faithful, he stood before the banner and His teammates came to Him, and He began to teach them.

He said:

“Blessed are the crumbing forwards,
for theirs is the scrappy goal kicked to silence the opposition fans.
Blessed are those who crash the pack,
for they will be rewarded with contested mark stats.
Blessed are the outside runners,
for they will inherit roar of the crowd as they sprint down the wing.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for the ball at the centre bounce,
for they will be rewarded with contested possessions.
Blessed are those who play in front,
for they will be given free kicks for 'in the back'.
Blessed are the key position defenders,
for they will see their opponent kept to 2 possessions.
Blessed are the rucks,
for they will be called the dominant tap rucks in the game.
Blessed are those who are persecuted by taggers,
for theirs is the low stat game of team sacrifice.

Blessed are you when opposition fans insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of our club.

Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in September, for in the same way they persecuted the premiership winning Tiger Greats who came before you."

Lennon and McBean will face fitness tests this week, while Edwards is expected to be sidelined for two to three weeks.

Good news!

great to hear that Lennon and McBean are just facing fitness tests. Even if they miss a week, neither can be too badly injured.

I heard Liam had to have his foot amputated due to the ankle injury, however it is expected to grow back during the week hence the fitness test.
