Liam McBean

People dont realise that Beanie performed his first miracle last night. 1 possession. Thats a bit like Jesus kicking a mangy dog.

5 years in the system i should think so, but reckon Mcbean will be a player

Agree, still has a heap of time on his side.

Showed some really good VFL form last year so here's hoping.

Need to put half dozen beers out so the Garbo takes him that was crap looked lost . Punt road end pumped him up way to much . Like cult hero's but needs to be able to play :(

Went to ground way too easy... Sure that will be relayed to him at the de brief... Has got a lot of time to learn... I think he will play 2-4 games this year in the mid/ latter half of the year just for a taste of it when we rest up a few players/ managing them.

McJesus scored -1 in Supercoach, a miracle of sorts.

i think people are expecting too much too early.
im not expecting any miracles from him until he is 30.

Gotta love all the supporters who never saw him at coburg last year come out and judge him on a NAB game on a seriously humid and sticky night in Feb a coupla weeks after resuming full training following a serious ankle injury.

The bean is a freak. Nothing has changed.

That maybe the case but Beanie is still a light weight, he'll need a minimum of 2 seasons in the gym to match AFL hardened performers. But to be fair, this was always the case, Frank and co. were under no illusions as to what could reasonably be expected. Another solid season at VFL level and then time to reassess. Nobody is writing him off.

I reckon it'll be hard for him to get a gig this year anyway if we play Maric and Hampson in tandem, rotating forward.

But the brains trust want to see him play. He was very close to a debut before his ankle last year.

Within the right structure he can be protected. If injuries hit our big men stocks he might be in line for an appearance or two. I have faith he can reproduce coburg form at the elite level. On a cold, dry day in April, not what we saw last night.

Thought his biggest issue was his endurance. Looked buggered after 10 mins.

Yep. Too early for seniors match. VFL for 2 years. See you in 2016 Beano.

Agree. Hope all concerned realised my 'dud, delist' was with cheek full of tongue.

clearly not fit - far from it. hunched over and blowing hard after his warm up. came back from rehab group a couple of weeks ago. no preseason. wouldn't worry about the bean - his game is based on his running and agility, which he didn't have last night. he'll make alot of tall defenders look silly - even this year I'm tipping.

That's what practice matches are for.
Tiger Beanie played well in the ressies last year so give him a butchers at the senior level so he can get some understanding of what he needs to reach senior level. Little bit of reward getting to play with the big boys, large slice of education making him learn in the heat of the kitchen.

I reckon Friday night was the best thing that could happen. Expectations are way ott, myself included. A poor first game will settle a lot of folks down. Myself included.

Now Beanie can concentrate on footy without having to worry about performing miracles as well.

People on here get excited too easily.
