the highlights package of McBean shows practically ALL of his involvements on Sunday - the package lasts under 3 minutes

No it didn't. It just showed his goal involvements. He had 13 disposals.

before he becomes a complete player he needs to work on what he does for the other 117 mins of the game

Geez. Many of our fringe players only play 3 minutes. If that's the issue then get him in and let him learn with quality, experienced players around him. The boy is ready and is dangerous around goals which means his opponent has to pay attention. Brisbane would be the perfect game to bring him in, however after sucha an emphatic win against Hawthorn, I'm not expecting a swag of changes.

He is either super fast on a lead or has incredible footy smarts - that you cannot teach. If he plays as a 3rd tall could get very Interesting - could attract the best defender and free Jack up - very Interesting proposition.

Where do you get those stats? I don't doubt them, I just would like to see the complete Coburg stats if available.

Thanks in advance

Really impressed with the way Lean plays his footy. Especially his kicking set up. My young bloke is a similar type of player and build. Have been taking him to games specifically to watch the Bean.

As Darcy would say : Love the way he goes about it.

2014! Make him starve for the opportunity, make him fight for the opportunity, make him kill for the opportunity.

No one deserves a spot in the Richmond side simply because he shows something....they should get a game because they absolutely monster their way into the side.

Royce Hart wasn't promoted until he showed he had it all....

He has t prove that the side cannot function without him....

Make him wait, make him starve for the opportunity so badly he he will do whatever it takes to stay there!

Just about the most fluid set shot from a big fella I've ever seen. So relaxed, so balanced. A thing of beauty.

He has a Carey-like stroll as he runs in to kick for goal.

Sounds about right.

I would expect him to win 4 Brownlows, 6 Colemans, 3 Norm Smiths (Chimp will take one off him in controversial circumstances), 8 JD Medals and 3 Jim Stynes awards.

Anything less than that would be considered a failure.

All from full-back

6 goals in 3 minutes. Kids got potential.

But, your right. If the other 117mins translated to 58 goals, well, shoot to thrill, play to kill!

It was actually 6 goals in 2 mins 17 secs so he should be aiming for 315 goals for the game!

Was listening to RSN this morning with mick McGuane and Mick Christian. At the end of an interview with B. Ellis, McGuane went on to mention a very impressive 18 yo called Liam McBean. Said he could be a finals dark horse and kid still a bit skinny but spoke very highly of him, looks like the secret is out.

How's his contract?
