Liam will be back, Tinear. Hopefully part of our Round 1 team. Have faith!

Liam's only hope is if Hardwick moves on.

Hardwick doesn't rate him and that's his prerogative.

However playing him and setting him up to fail by sitting him on the pine for the first ten minutes of each quarter diminishes him in my eyes.

If you are going to play a kid, give him a chance. He showed a bit rucking in the first quarter against the Dogs. Dimma basically didn't ruck him again until the last 2 minutes of the Hawks game and then practically blamed him for the blowout.

Clueless and petty is our Dimma.

Absolutely staggered when I got to the ground and found that he had been dropped with Griffiths out and the size of the GWS side that we had to match up on.

Simply another coaching stuff-up by people who continually value small running robots over talls that can play in the key positions.

Some on here would like to give the same people a chance to 'rebuild' again. I would not trust any of them with
mowing the lawn, let alone another repeat of the last 7 years of player selection, trade and particularly player development.

Only stuff up is that he has been kept on the list for 4 yrs. Not a key position players backside.

For interest how did he play in the VFL. Did he respond to being dropped?

Going by reports from PREnders on the VFL board game day thread he didn't do a lot. Haven't read the coaches critique yet.

probably more than Vickery.

and before you say that's a separate issue, it ain't.

Hardwick dropped McBean for Vickery.

I wouldn't have responded other than you telling me it's not a separate issue. Surely you concede there is a difference in playing in a winning VFL team as opposed to playing in an AFL team that was absolutely flogged? I certainly hope Liam did a lot more than Ty.

Liam got to about 8 contested mark opportunities, took none!

Aaaahhhh, such delicious irony.

I've checked the stats now. Ty's in an AFL team that got absolutely flogged are better than Liam's in a VFL team that had a comfortable win. I'm not sure why :bs raised it. What's the point?

Because your strident criticism of McBean is out of whack. That's the point.

At least my hyperbole is positive :hihi

Was thinking just that, particularly when during the season the VFL side were getting thumped and the seniors strung some wins together. Whatever suits the argument I suppose.

I am not saying who should play where. I am not speculating about how a player would or would not have done. I am not bagging one player and lauding another. I merely responded to a comment that Liam probably did more than Ty. Do you think he did?

Reading the coaches comments, sounds like they thought Liam made a valuable contribution

Don't think anyone rated Ty's game though?
