Hate or facts?

Hmmm I've noticed you drifting around this thread with mindless spam dude.

You need to get to the game.

Tall forwards are burned, burned burned in Dimma's structure.

A smart leading player like Beanie has no chance when we force him and Riewoldt behind the ball.

Our ball movement today was horrible. We clearly don't know whether to hold or go and the ball moved forward in irregular squirts.

How the forwards are supposed to read the kick is beyond me.

They are expected to roam high where they get lost in the congestion. Then they run forward and double back on the fly.

It's called an insta-forward line. It's an old Hardwick trick.

Look at Dimma's structure if you want a reason why we struggle to put away a basket case side at home on a perfect day.

Better still, go and watch the team yourself.

Maybe then you'll understand what's going on rather than firing in cheap shots eh?

12 poss, 6 marks, 1 or 2 goal assists. Solid outing in his 2nd full game.

Oh and only 65% game time too. Ty averages about 80-90% for less than that output.

Come on Barnzy, way too much sense for the hate mongers on this thread.

Needs to play out the back more for the easy goals. Not AFL quality until he can do that! ;)

While he didn't hit the score board gave us something when kicking down the line and was once again good when the ball hit the ground.

Good work Western. The ambulance chasers on here will be disappointed in the long run.

Think we've seen enough of this spud.
File him under failed recruiting and development
Time to move on

How many seconds games did you say you'd been to this year? You've certainly posted some over the top claims and questioned those who were actually there. 5 goals today. Missed by that much. :hihi

It's strange how some jump so quickly on such a young player.

A Richmond player with under 10 games.

Works both ways
Just see me as the ying to your yang.

Griff can run, jump and then mark. Neither TV or LM do that. They play the same game as Lloyd but not as well.

You can't see how he's been built up bigger than Ben Hur, rather than just discussed on actual performance which has been up and down after 4 years in the system, and people are reacting to that?

You didn't really address my point though. You tell someone else to get to the game yet you question the opinions of those who've actually got to the games to watch Liam play live.

Why react to positive views about a Richmond player, even if it is hyperbolic?

I don't understand your negativity.

This is spot on in terms of McBean. A 200cm rover.

Actual, he was one of our worst.
I think Shane Edwards who has played 150+ odd games was worse than Beanie today. The young beanstalks 4th game was above par from a developing tall. Actually shows more than big Griff and Tyedie Vick did at the same stage.

Bill and Kev, Beanie is smart on the lead and consistently finds space.

If the midfield is utterly *smile*, as it was today and often is at VFL level, he gets burned. At the ground you can see how often he is burned.

Inside 50 entries today were shameful.

McBean was ok as a hit up half forward today but all of the things that have been said by many here about him at the lower levels are ringing true so far.
He's not yet showing he's going to be anything more than a third tall and that is what holds him back. Just not strong enough in the contest.
However he needs to keep playing if for nothing else so his limitations can be exposed.

To answer your question Rosy, it's always better to be at games if you want to see structural reasons for certain aspects of our performance.

Just the way it is.

Probably so. So to answer my question how many games have you seen Liam play live at VFL level this year? Those who have reported from the game have certainly been questioned about their opinions by certain people who weren't at the games.

I've said it a few times, I've been to one game of VFL in 2016, plus all senior MCG games.

I find ToO's analysis of Beanie compelling. Taz's not so much.
