Liam McBean

Surely McBean in and standing side by side by goal post is better than Vickery flapping his arms, kick it to me! Kick it to me!

Got some very nice hands in traffic n dished off some good ball, George knows where to find it.
Beanie had a good one n since Dimma's admitted we need to find something. He won't need to look far to find the Bean.

Time for the Beanie farce to get a spell n run him in the seniors for a few weeks, if he can't give some genuine impact by seasons end then he'll join a long list of nuffers at Tigerland.

Just wish someone would feed him a steak n a protein shake or two over summer n lock him in the weights room. Bloody pencil arms needs to at least grow some cap guns if he can't grow real ones.

Did McBean abuse any of his team mates? He needs to get better at that before he can be considered a Vickery replacement.

Tough call for the selection committee this week. Maric, Vickery and Griff combined totalled 13 possessions, 1 goal and 15 clangers.

Beanie only the lazy 20 disposals 2 goals 2 and 4 goal assists (two of which were gifts which he would have likely kicked). Plus he was working on scraps. Just in the last he was missed three times when 10 metres clear of his opponent.

Those who feel he is a chance may be a tad optimistic. That was about a 6 out of 10 game for Beanie on the Beanie scale. He has had 8, 9 and 10 out of ten games which didn't get rewarded.

Note also he didn't get in the best. Rioli did. His pressure work was first class but his overall play was pretty inefficient, unless you count the goal assist for Casey. Silvestro got in the best and I like the kid but behind Beanie in effectiveness again.

Last week Jake Aarts got in the best (2nd I think) for a five possession game because he showed something as a tagger.

We need to remember our coaches don't value efficiency, rather the reverse. They like plenty of huff and puff, contests and not much scoring.

So players with class, smarts, time and skill and who make the most of every possession sit in the queue behind your Moores, Townsends and Jakey Aarts.

BTW Beanie's hands are often too quick for his opponents, teammates, coaches, commentators. It appears that they may be too quick for the stats men as well. He was shooting out little handballs all day and was only credited with 8. I reckon the stats guys see the big bloke trundle towards the ball and all of a sudden a little RFC bloke scoots clear and they reason they must have got a lucky bounce or the big bloke fumbled.

Super class act is Liam. Imagine how much Jack and Lloyd and Shed would love some of those gives in the firsts.

Has Beanie played a better game this year ?

Rd 2 probably. 17 possessions 4 contested marks 5 goals.

Niot much in it. so these 8, 9 and 10 games, in your opinion, didn't happen this year ? Then I fail to see the relevance

Not surprising or news to me.

Yeah line ball this week.

I don't think he deserves to be picked to be honest.

Tyrone brought the ball to ground way more.

Please enlighten me, I'd love to understand how performances of last year should be a factor in this years debate on selection. McBean needs a run at it, I don't think anyone disagrees, but you do your arguments a massive disservice if you keep alluding to last years performances.
