Liam McBean

The big lumpy ruckman was Tom Goodwin son of Andy Goodwin. He certainly has his fathers attack on the ball and the man.

Yep. Think McEvoys brother is Peter? Both he and the Coburg ruckman ?? The big lumpy fella had far better games than Ivvy n Beanie, but Beanie for mine was also better than Ivvy.

Bloody funny, that people are bagging Ty for his performance as a key forward in a senior side that was totally obliterated by Norf yet want Beanie promoted to the seniors when he only performed after he was shifted into the ruck to cover for Soldo. Beanie didn't perform any better as a forward at magoos level than Ty did as a forward at senior level. Both had *smile* all viable opportunities in a team belting in sh!t conditions.

Peter, I think you are right. I still want to see McBean have a better opportunity in the senior side, and while the conditions I saw McBean in were ordinary, he was worse than ordinary in every facet except the ruck on the weekend. I expected more and the conditions didn't hold back others as much. Can't stand Vickery's present football intensity, but agree McBean's was no better - they seem almost two peas (or should I say 'beans") in a pod on what little I've seen of McBean. As bad as Ty was on Friday, I agree he was still better than McBean. BUT I still want to see McBean in a four game slab in better conditions with the best footballers, and Ty deserves to miss for that to happen - especially with a 1% chance of making the 8 - maybe McBean can be the missing link........ ::)

That's it, thanks Dev. Couldn't remember his name but I'd heard he was the son of a former player during the commentary of the game ( had to have some liquid help to get through watching the game after failing to get through the Friday effort ).
Young Tom looked a bit beyond the fitness level required of an elite player, definitely a back yard suburban type n I was kinda expecting Ivvy to beat up on him n hoping he'd put the hand up towards a senior recall. Bloody big lump of a roughie fair took it up to Ivvy n made his day pretty miserable, never took a backward step all day n good luck to him, done well.

Had a bit more than a wrestle behind play at one stage - wasn't overawed by the mullet that's for sure. He and Ballard could model for Baaskin and Robbins

In today's presser Dimmer named Maric as Griffens likely replacement this week.

How bleeding predictable.
If only I could pick one horse as easy as Handbrake's selection, I'd never have to work again.

He was being pressed on Maric's form and if we would ever see him again basically.

He said with Griffiths being a possible out, that he would be discussed at selection.

Earlier in the interview he said there would be changes due to injury and form, and outside of Conca he didn't really name anyone.

If he's named in the squad tonight then he'll be coming in.

Fine weather expected for Sunday arvo and I'll probably head down just to see Beanie wax with Jumpin' Jack.

I don't think Dimma appreciates how much better Jack will be working with a forward as smart as he is.

Oh, Mr Hardwick, what a waste.

I reckon the likelihood of the Beanster getting picked is running at about 15%

Shame Betfair doesn't have a tote on it!

He,ll probably get named on the extended bench but surprisingly will be left out.

That's because Conca was the only player who looked like he might be able to play at the highest level. If anyone else from that seconds side is promoted then they are being gifted a game.

Last weekend might be the worst weekend in the football clubs history. Both sides waved the white flag early and didn't give a yelp at any stage. There are some really bleak years ahead of us.
