Liam McBean

Look, unless he displays the gut running, hard ball contested work that the young Tyro consistently brings to the table each week I won't have him playing!

As long as the criticism of Vickery is also extended to all who don't contest hard enough then it's ok with me. That includes key forwards who play in the vfl !!

Vickery is a cancer at the club. What better way to set an example to the rest of the players then drop Vickery for lack of effort and desire and poor body language to his team mates and bring in a youngster who has tried hard in a very poor VFL team yet stands 2nd on the goal kicking ladder. Hardwick needs to show some responsibility, tale McBean under his wing and have him learn his trait at AFL level. Should have been given many more games by now.

Anyone notice he refused point blank to name the "emerging young talent" in line for elevation. Could barely get the words out. Hates the idea.

I actually took that as he didn't want any kid to think his garunteed a game next week and that there were going to be oppurtunitys for those who put there hand up tommorow .......sorry I know Dimma does everything wrong

Surely he can name the talent we have. Over managed, overly cautious is our head coach. The players aren't stupid, they know there are opportunities.

Don't think it's a big deal either way, I'd just guess there's Probally a dozen kids who will go into tomorrow's game believing if they play well they may play at the G the following week, I'm sure they'd know that if Dimma mentioned there name or not in a presser

Exactly. I guess I'm just suspicious that he won't follow through on Thursday night. Again.

I doubt he plays next week. Griffins and Vickery have been out before through injury and whatnot and *smile* has preferred Maric and Hampson, Chaplin forward, etc. Had plenty of chances to play him. Hope so but I'll be actually shocked if he's named.

He won't play. We could have 18 on the injury list and Hardwick would elevate a rookie instead of playing him.
What a waste of another pick. You could throw in Elton in the same discussion

A cancer?

Nice description jerk off.

I doubt he'll get a game next week, maybe if Grimes is still injured and Griffiths can't play. For whatever reason the selection committee are simply set against the player and he'll be elsewhere next season. The 'emerging young talent' is probably Markov, I think he's been an emergency the last 3 weeks.

Hardwick was asked on SEN to name our emerging young talent that he's "excited" about. He didn't mention Liam.

Even when he was asked specifically about him, he wasn't exactly enthusiastic. There must be something Liam isn't doing down there

He refuses to become another drone. He kicks goals, plays like a big man, shows natural footy IQ and knows
how and where to run. He has a feel for the game, much like Jack. I have zero faith in our footy dept. They have
a history and a track record of getting it wrong, even when they eventually get it right. Remember Miles was not
their first option, Thomas was. It has taken them 3 yrs to work out that Lloyd is a natural goal kicking forward.
We have Griff who has a cannon in his right leg, but never uses it. Just does dinky kicks, rather than render
the opposition defense obsolete with a nice 60m goal/kick. Better stop here, otherwise I'll start on how they have
sucked the life and enjoyment of the game from the players, with their crap game plan and structures.

Any criticism of McBean from those commenting on him (including me) has been directed at his workrate, lack of effort, chasing etc.
