Liam McBean

It's like they are scrambling around to find any reason not to play him. lol.

So they want him to play higher up the ground, hit contests, take marks and kick goals?

C'mon bean - lift you bludger.

I would kinda understand him not getting a look in if we had Dunstall, Carey and Jack Riewoldt in our forward line, but reality is we only have one of them

Liam McBean
16 disposals, 10 marks, four contested marks, three inside 50s

Had a different role to what he usually has. Played a little bit higher up the ground, and was able to take 10 marks, which was really pleasing. He took the ball out in front with his hands, and played like a big man, but unfortunately he wasn’t able to hit the scoreboard for us.

Meanwhile Elton and C Moore who couldn't hit the side of a barn play deep forward and apparently the experiment will continue.

Once Beanie has been fully incorporated into the Borg and been totally vannilarised he'll get a game.

For real lamby? The most crucified Richmond player ever?

If only *smile* Vickery had to put in as much effort. Useless amorphous mass occupying the goal square and looking for ways to run out the back. Like a 16 year old in a strip joint, has eyes on the easy snatch and then runs out the nearest exit.

Bloody hilarious that you'd crack the sads over the clubs comment about Beanie.

Obviously having a quality young VFL goal kicker playing further up the ground for us in an effort to fully round out his playing capabilities, hopefully to improve his overall game and chances of becoming a senior would rob him and the team " unfortunately " of his goal scoring capacity during a game.

You seem to think the club are bagging him for not kicking multiple goals while playing further up the ground, yet to me, it's a simple explanation to supporters as to why Beanie didn't kick his usual expected six or seven. The club gave him a different job to do, he did it well, pity there's no sausage in the book this week.
Trying too hard for the conspiracy farce theory I reckon lambshanks.

Haaarrrrgh, played like a big man. The blokes about two metres tall n hopefully getting some beef about him. Of course he should play like a big man. Most of the Beanie legwetters on here have been cranking on about how he plays like a small mobile pocket for the last three years n suddenly it's condescending for the coaches to be happy that he took the game on n played as a big strong player should.
Gawd some people just crack me up.

Oh good, I feel better now TM, knowing RFC are actually on the Beanie express.....departing.......just a few minutes past the never never.

They don't need to be on the Beanie express lambshanks. All they need to do is keep trying to teach the Beanie to play footy the way they think a two metre tall hundred kilo player should play. Maybe Beanie's just a bit of a slow learner, or even worse in the opinion of some. Maybe they're worried that Beanie has been styling his game too much on Tyrone's method n Beanie thinks he can just faff around playing a bit of loose out the back seagull n get a hundred games at AFL level. Perhaps the coaches might tolerate one of these sorts for the time being n are desperately pushing the Bean to play like a big strong footballer instead.
Just guessing of course, but hey, it's my opinion n it works as well as any other conspiracy opinion running around.

"And played like a big man"...so condescending. Hasn't his contested mark numbers been high all season? Just more proof of the little snipes he gets in these hilarious VFL reports.

How many of us who actually watch him regularly say the same thing?
202cm player who needs to play like one!

either of you 2 see the game on Saturday ?

A good question.

Deep stuff reading the profound textual analysis of Lamby and Barnzy. Semiotic deconstructionism has nothing on these two.

Who needs to go to games with this level of commentary?

So why are they not demanding Ty to play like a genuine big man?

Most of us have been screaming for Ty to play like a big man.

That is the million dolar question and why many of us hate the double standards at play.
That said 2 wrongs don't make a right.

Exactly ToOheys, but two Tyrones also won't win us a flag.
Maybe we just have to manage as best we can with Tyrone while we teach Beanie to play Big Boy football so we can challenge next time it's Big Footy month, instead of getting our arses handed to us in the first final.

.........

In my best side of our current list players 19 -22 would be players like Astbury, Conca, B Ellis & Rioli.

Players like Chaplin, Hampson, Houli Hunt out.

Players like Corey Ellis and Mcbean in best 22.

So you think Liam is in our top 18 on the list?

He didn't say that at all. You have to do the maths and try and work out what he meant for yourself. Such a ludicrous thought at this stage that I wondered if my maths was wrong, even though my eyes are fine.

We have 4 natural forwards in the list Jack, Beanie, Lloyd and Lennon. Rioli is promising.

Beanie is potentially our second best forward, Probably sits at around 4 - 5 ATM.

He is best 22 IMO . Stucturally starting 18, so ......yeah!

Fairly strong opinion from someone who hasn't seen him play!

Lids is our second best forward Lamby, even part time. I have Beanie at number 3 ATM. could charge with a bullet

No but I heard good reports. You must have been chuffed too seeing he did what the coaches asked, make lots of contests, took lots of marks. Isn't that what you wanted to see from Beanie?

So you make a flippant (and false) comment about me not having seen him play yet you haven't seen him play this year (or maybe 1 game) and you judge him as top 18 on our list. :hihi
