I'm much bigger than what you think Carter. You're opinion is not the be all and end all. "What do people need"? Much more than what has been delivered. Suck it up mate. Not all of us are as easily convinced as you or any of your devotes. Get over yourself.

I think you just proved the opposite dude. Fair dinkum you get all types on here :hihi

The response i would expect....oh wait let's add the :hihi for effect. Delirious for a infantile.

Jeez tough crowd to please , the kids played in the forward line in two games were we have been smashed in inside fifties and then comes on in the last quarter and the team only has one player to rotate for the quarter .I'm still a believer .

Dragging two threads together Conca as a midfielder is comfortably in our best 22 but based on the slim body of evidence available, liam McBean ain't

There's other differences, but Jesse Hogan would be clearly the most anticipated young key forward so just for comparisons how many goals did he kick in his b&f win?

No doubt he is something. Many before have set the VFL ablaze and never made the transition. All Im saying is that maybe he is a very good VFL player. Nothing wrong with that.
I really hope to be proved wrong. He obviously has the tools but so did Cleve Hughes.

These sort of comments are blowing my mind. Where are people getting the idea that his abilities won't translate to AFL? He hasn't actually played an AFL game yet, and couldn't have done any more in the VFL.

I mean, what?

He's played 5 quarters of NAB games, and has never ever played in an AFL quality forward line, with an AFL quality Midfield.

Obscenely early to be calling him 'just a very good VFL player'. How about he actually debuts first.

If he were allowed the opportunity Griff has been given (bare minimum a stretch of 3 games playing forward). He would show everyone what he can do. Probably have a bag of 6 by then too.

chill. I said that he is something.
I also suggested that some players don't make the transition. I haven't judged liam at all.
As a Richmond fan I certainly hope he does.

Not true there are dozens of examples out there of 200cm flankers who've made it in the AFL..

:tumbleweed

Do Buddy or Richo count (yeah I know they're midgets at 195)

Interesting to revisit some draft threads: Reading the game and running ability were listed as key strengths. Reading the game, tick, agility, tick, however have you VFL watchers out there seen any sign of this running/midfield capacity alluded to when drafted. I don't think I have seen too much up and back running/leading and gut busting efforts? Others may think differently. Don't get me wrong I think he is an outstanding talent but has to work a lot harder to get those fitness level up. Plenty of time for a player of his size, so I think we should be patient and hopefully he is too. I am sure he has the mental toughness to fight for his spot and become a regular member of the team he has been a fan of since the day he was born, (just maybe not 2015?).

he's not in the frame for the third tall role, but he damn well should be.

should've been given a chance to show his wares at etihad.

Reckon if he goes well in the VFL trials he won't be far away from gettin in the 22......we have a small prob with our tall forwards
