I'm pretty sure McBean is a Richmond supporter also.

Affirmative Smash.
His old man would have put him up for adoption if it were any other way. :clap

He's not huge, but he's definitely put on weight since he joined the club. He was 86kg when we drafted him. I think he's around 93-95 now. If I've got my guessing right, he's #70? There weren't any front-on photos of him from today's game.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

yeah, he is 70. Definitely put on weight since the Calder photo. His arms are pretty skinny but he does loke like he will be able to put on a fair bit more weight. It just takes time.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

If he played as good as some of you said he did that is bloody exciting times ahead for this club.

Are there any current/past players you could compare him to?

Is he quick and good in the air as well?

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

He is a lighter, but faster version of Vickery. Good leap, seems to have good hands. More a forward than a ruckman I suspect. Like griff.

It remains to be seen how good he is with the tough stuff and contested marking.

Nice kicking style too BTW. Not the longest kick going, but nice straight action.

I'll be watching. Love the VFL on a Saturday arvo especially when the burgers are on telly.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

Doggy, I reckon he has Riewoldt type smarts, although totally different player, but he just knows where and when to move.

Really pretty much not like any player his size I can think of.

He likes to run and overlap -maybe he thinks he is Lids.

Re: mcbean -- birth of a legend

I like the smarts attribute. We need more smarts.

Looking forward to seeing the Bean live on Saturday.
