Josh Caddy

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Four games in and Caddy is yet to really show much worth to the team ... but he won't be dropped is how I am figuring it.

Townsend put in a strong claim to Caddy's spot today. I'm not a Townsend fan either.
Although....looked as if they played against North Ballarat Auskickers today.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Caddy is a smart footballer though. I put him a little bit in the Grigg category. Very good thinking footballer with athletic limitations.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Thought he was fairly serviceable today. Dusty n Cotch didn't dominate as they'd been doing in the first few games, but with Nank, Grigga, Presty, KMac n Caddy all chipping in there was just an evenness about our mid field performance that was very difficult for Brisvegas to deal with.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Has kicked at least a goal each game so there's your value. He also slammed Robinson on his @rse into the ground in the 4th, which was just great.
He is 400 times better than Townsend, who i don't want to see playing seniors again.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Hasn't been as good as I thought he might be when we got him, but seems to be playing a role. Layed a good block on Dusty's tagger at one stoppage that I saw today, we just didn't win the hitout.

At a goal a game and helping out release Dusty and Cotch to be more damaging, he stays in for mine

Had 19p ' 1g and a few score involvements , yea he was terrible ::)

He was solid. But seeing a game live for the first time this season and first with JC playing, does a lot of bollocking work. basically saw first hand the big body hype, and he lived up to it

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

I was actually happier with both Prestia and Caddy's games today, but Dion's kicking is a genuine concern. Is his knee shot?

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Caddy's running was much freer. Brisker and more frequent, both ways. His hands were smart. His feet have let him down so far this season around goal. He's kicked 2.3. Has he failed to score five times? Anyway his misses are a combination of prayers and sodas.

He lifted in almost every area last match. Time to kick the *smile* goal.

Agree, Leon, they were both much better. And getting more responsibility.

has kicked 3.3. jack. Not a big deal I know but it is 33% more goals :rofl

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Question can anybody guess what coin caddy is on?

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

I've googled but cant find the value of his 4 year contract but did find these comments:

"that Caddy will have more of an opportunity to play predominately in the midfield at the Tigers and has been given a generous four-year deal by Richmond."

Geelong list manager Stephen Wells said he not happy to lose Josh Caddy to Richmond.
“We are disappointed to part ways with Josh,” he said. “I think the Tigers convinced Josh that he was going to get plenty of midfield time.

Dan Richardson said: “We love what Josh is going to bring to our team, he’s a big-bodied, aggressive midfielder that can run, win the contested footy, and also kick goals,” Richmond talent manager Dan Richardson said.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

The reason im asking is becouse ive heard he is on 650
A year not a reliable source by any stretch
But its someone i know who is mates with lambert and short again , dont know if its true or not
Also he recons north have offered dusty
Imill ayear and pies 1.1 mill ayear we are at 850 a year
Again ive got no idea if true or b.s just thought id throw it out there and see what any one thinks about this.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Mitch Morton upgrade. OK with some very good touches now and then. Wont win a game of his own boot. Handy inclusion into out 22.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Caddy is getting midfield time with us. We were good to our word on that.

The numbers about Dusty sound right, funky. How do they compare with 650k for Caddy? Cyril Rioli wouldn't be on 650k.

Caddy will be on 400 at a guess. Maybe, as Niko says, 450k. He'd have been on 300 odd with Geelong. And 200k odd with GC.

Thanks, Niko. (I left out the Bears game. :eek:ld)

I don't think I ever got around to nailing my point about Caddy. He should have at least six goals by now, even underdone, and be on target for thirty. Gotta kick straight. (Lair.)

Last week he had to pull his finger out. He did. Now he has to pull his head in. And kick straight. Instructions a bit more complicated - finger out, head in.

Re: Welcome to Tigerland - Josh Caddy

Thought he was better against brisbane. Needs to further improve though.

How much midfield time is he getting Jack?
