Schulz doesnt have an engine. Thats why he's up for one contest and disappears for the next 3. Schulz aint AFL grade, never was, never will be, and he's cost the Tigers millions of dollars in salary. He is the perfect advertisement for performance based contracts.

At the end of his tenure he will have been at the Tigers for EIGHT long years. It is a joke. Fancy not taking pick 28 for him. Live and learn I say.

Ouch..!

I used to defend this bloke, he was slaughtered at Richmond, not once did they let him settle or develop some belief.

Watching him now is yet another stake through my Y and B heart...
Im nearly roasted..

No, I believe Schulz would still be targeted regardless.
He caused a lot of frustration at Richmond over 7 long years.
Some (including myself) thought he might go better at Port.
That he hasn't makes their angst justified.

Yeah nah...

Richo crucified Jay, but that is part of footy.

Jay worked his backside off to get in the right position but Richo's "Kick it to me, kick it to me, OR ELSE" attitude spoilt the decision making of running Tigers.

While Jay is kicking goals against other sides we should all be respectful.

Schulz also had a badly broken ankle, and copped several (2?) concussions (Aaron Hamill was one), and a few other injuries. Has been a long road but just getting some continuity now. Also drink drive saga - has had an interrupted time not helped by a lack of confidence from Wallace

Plus a shoulder reco..

Jay showed glimpses for us, never got a shot with Richo running around.

Then I think the homesickness factor came into it, is a star at Port, good on him.

Only regret is that we didn't trade him a year earlier when a better deal was on the table. 71 games in 7 years, tried forward and back... Late maturer, playing good footy under coach #7. Good luck to him.

Got laughed at years ago saying Jay could be an absolute beauty for us.

Bitten us on the arse big time...

Glad to see him doin well, quality bloke, most underrated field kick goin around, his super skills the old number 25

You got to wonder if he did stay with us , what his role would be ?

Good question KT.
Dimma would prob turn Sarge into a Rover. You know Full Forwards don't work in 2014 according to Dimma. They make you one dimensional apparently.
I just wished he was more consistent when he was with us. He'd still be here.
To answer q seriously I reckon he'd interchange with Jack as leading targets one closer to home and one further up the ground.

The third tall role we've been plugging Miller and A.Edwards with over the years since he left.

We'd bloody love him right now.

He was crucified by Wallace. Never liked him or rated him as a player.

Played out of position and in the shadow of Richo for so long. With our lack of developing talks back then he stood no chance and he wanted to leave in the end. Don't blame him.

I genuinely liked Sarge. Thought he had much upside.

Good on him. Doing well at Port and their game style suits him.
With our current game style we would probably be baying for his blood.
Will play finals with Port you would think.
Wish him the best. I hold no ill feeling towards him.

Exactly. Thank Wallace for this, played him at CHB for goodness sake. Didn't seem to think there was room in the forward line for Sarge and Richo. Wallace probably didn't like him, as he wasn't a half back flanker.

And Wallace was gloating about Shultz doing well at Port on SEN this morning as well.

That's why he's the list manager.
Knows a good player when he sees one.
