Time to start planning for life after Mathew , how about we keep everyone else and retire Richo , then we might see a foward life with more than one option ..... but then again we might need someone in the middle field who might have the ability to honor a lead lace out chest high , not 30 degrees to the left ankle high !!!

as much as jay has shown very little you just need to set your minds back to the eagles game when we thought it was finally the start of the future forward 50 without richo and it looked very good

he kicks straight that day and the rfc finally moves forward, instead he misses 4 easy shots and gets himself stuck at coburg for a month and we go back to a richo centric forward line

Whilst none of these kids are fit to tie Richo's bootlaces yet, the sum of three parts is greater than one.

Why not give him the rest of the season at full-back or CHB, let Polak take the other, and play Joel up the ground more, and Raines as the loose-man/sweeper?

The thing with Schulz is that he is still young and hasn't played a lot of footy due to injury and the like, and I think he can do something for us.

Remember Lepptisch was hit-&-miss up forward and then moved to CHB and became an integral part of one of the greatest teams in history.

Not saying Schulz will be just as good in this new role, but its worth a try until the end of the season....plus I hate investing time/money into a player that hasn't even made it to the prime of his career.

Without defending Jay too much I wasn't aware either of these guys had kicked a bag of six yet.
Happy to be proven wrong though.

Riewoldt is encouraging so is Hughes to a lesser extent but neither at this stage have shown that they will be any better long term than Jay.

Besides who cares which of these three kids are better or worse.
I'd like to see all three of them in the forward line when Richo departs.
