Was very impressive up close today in the second half. Has got some ability this kid. Poise, vision, awareness and good kicking skills. Should be a definite in our backline for Round One.
In Conca, Batchelor and Helbig we have three youngsters ready to be involved from Round One. Derickx a possibility too.
Not many other teams will be blooding the youngsters like us and the Gold Coast. Shows how young we really are and how far away we are. After this season another 20 odd games together and these kids will develop further with the likes of Martin, Cotchin, Astbury, Vickery, Rance etc etc.

Sounds pleasing. Although he didn’t touch it too much in the NAB RR Conca does look a superb choice. Just so clean and sure, I trust him already to make the right choice and execute. To be fair haven’t seen Heppell or some others who were around the mark but appears Frank has picked those with a chance. Look forward to watching Batchelor and Helbig after the talk round here.Tigerbob said:

In the Crystal Ball thread I had Rance at getting our most improved award. Reckon he will play on talls and smalls this year and he is a competitive beast. Still a long way for him to go and more improvement needed, but I saw a lot about him yesterday and in fairness this pre season. Has to cut out the errors and going to ground but he is looking pretty good. So to answer your question, yes I rate his chances.

Very composed and when you hear him talk he's got that air of confidence that tells you he thinks he's good enough to mix it at the top level.

Very good debut last night. Kept calm, showed good disposal and made good decisions. Give hime a job each week and he will respond. We need Moore back to release Deledio out of the backline and Batch can take that flank.

Batchelor got to take a kick out and was composed enough to kick it to himself and play on out of the box
