You must have gone to different games to me. Had a poor season and a half that some seem to extrapolate to his entire career which is strange, he was one of the most composed players I've ever seen. Monteath was another 11, tough, skilled flag winning capt. Its a good disease.

agreed. on face value. to this point.
but batch will be great.
in time he'll apply his great skills week in week out, like a professional tradesman does.
he'll play 200 games. of that I haven't the slightest doubt.

What position do you expect him to play 200 games in? He's got some competition and they're not vets.

Reckon he will play round 1 now Astbury is injured. The club will also be looking for one of Grimes or Chappie to come up also.
As for Batch, I give him 174 games for the tigers (good solid player for the tigers) - and don't ask how I came up with that number

know it's been mentioned a lot, but did a mighty job on Hurley last year. Was at the game, he was unbelievably switched on.
so i guess i've seen his ceiling, and its way higher than some give him credit for.
we need someone who can play on the ryan o'keefes of this world. yes, mcintosh might, in time. even grimey, but he's better as third man up.
with capped rotations coming, teams may look for flexibility more than ever before. guys like batch.

Fair enough. IMO his best chance of playing 200 is if Grimes doesn't play 20 more.

Yes they are. One's good and one's ok.
If Batchelor plays 200 he'll have to improve on current form.
