Our defence really looked like it had a lot of 10 and 20 odd gamers, which of course it did.

lamb22 said:I put together my best 22 yesterday and found I left Batch out. No spot for him if Grimes is fit for mine. Much pefer Dea. He does make a lot of cheap disposal errors. His kicking which looked OK last year was mostly fluke I reckon.
Still a very good intercept mark and of course very young but I think most rate him higher than he deseves just ATM.
But Houli geez ,,,,,,,,,,,,,had a shocker of a first quarter and it got worse from there.
We are now 4 - 1 with Kingy in and 1 -5 with Kingy out (counting the Collingwood game as an out b'c of the first qtr injury).
Lots of drinking their own bathwater this week. I was nervous when I saw all of King, Lids and Cotch on Thursday night footy shows.

Agree though on Batch, made some very bad blunders of late. Need to eradicate those & think he will. Its only his 2nd year.

HE has big problems bending down for mine. IS good at intercepting opposition kicks but look casual and slow too ofter.
He isn't very agile

Perhaps the absence of Grimes has affected him also...probably having to play a slightly different role.
