ABSOLUTE KEEPER!!! Dead set Chris Newman Clone.
The player he reminds me most of is a young Corey Enright . No fuss , gets the job done and its only when you reflect on a game or watch the replay you realise how good he was .

Batchelor commits to Tigers
By Tony Greenberg 9:29 AM Tue 08 Nov, 2011

Promising young Richmond defender, Jake Batchelor, has been rewarded for his impressive debut season at Tigerland in 2011 with a contract extension.

Batchelor, who made 16 senior appearances, and averaged 12.6 disposals per game, has signed a new deal, binding him to the Club at least until the end of the 2013 season.

He joins fellow first-year pair Reece Conca and Brad Helbig, along with second-year player, Dylan Grimes, who have all made long-term commitments to the Tigers in recent months.

“We are extremely pleased to have re-signed Jake, as he’s a quality young man, who has shown his capacity to excel at the game’s highest level,” said Richmond’s General Manager of Football, Craig Cameron.

“He has the attributes to be a most valuable member of our side for many years.”
Batchelor won high praise this year for his work ethic, composure under pressure in the back half, decision-making and kicking skills.

The 19-year-old had a season-high 23 disposals in Richmond’s Round 7 victory over Fremantle at the MCG, and received an AFL Rising Star nomination following his Round 16 performance against Essendon.

Re: Pick 30 - Jake Batchelor

Best pick up for ages with a pick above 30!
Future captain.
Cool, calm and collective.
No wonder Collingwood wanted him..

Re: Pick 30 - Jake Batchelor

Nice work Tiges. Very happy with the recruiting of Conga, Helbig and Batchelor :)

Re: Pick 30 - Jake Batchelor

I am a huge fan. was very composed for a 1st year player.

happy to relax now, Batchelor shows signs of being a very good 10 year player for us, who know maybe along side Miller for those years. :hihi

Re: Pick 30 - Jake Batchelor

I love the fact we are discussing how good draftees will be rather if they will be any good at all. Huge turnaround in drafting. I also like having a new JB on the list
