Funny, i thought Batch did his job. If the siren went 20 seconds earlier, he was the hero for THAT match saving tackle.

Thats the second most painful loss ive endured in my memory I reckon (after the 2015 loss to north).

I watched it in a strange pub, full of strangers, all on my own.

when Bellis kicked that goal, I grabbed 5 strangers, 3 of whom where women in their late 60's enjoying mothers day sherries, and did a ring a rosy, upending chairs and tables.

As i was explaining to the jubilant strangers, who had zero context or understanding of AFL, that fairy tales dont happen to Richmond; we were still embracing and circling manically; Mundy took the mark and beat us.

anyway, Ive had a couple of rum and partially recovered.

ive read the unsophisticated post mortems, and I get it.

But Batch did the job he was called on for. Caddy played his best game. Edwards was enormous, and Cellis stood up in a stage when almost noone was.

As a rule I dont single blokes who should bare the blame out. Im gonna stick to that rule.

Hope this isn't serious. He was so poor today in defense that they threw him forward and his disposal again was poor, that kick as he was going inside 50 was awful. Even a Brandon Ellis floater isn't that high and slow.

The jury is out on JB, best we give him another tilt next eeek......

Hope he hangs around and plays on in the VFL.

That would be good, though i reckon he's AFL quality. The Suns could do a lot worse, if nothing else he'd give them a bit of hardness.

Bit of manchild about Jake. Honest player but never really developed beyond his first season.
Just short of the level but clearly gave his all & that's all you can ask of any player for the RFC.
Good luck to him.

Agree. I reckon his first season was his best. I thought he'd be a good player but he never really improved from there.

x3. Has a real go, just not quite good enough.

The quality of our rejects has improved a lot over the last few years.

Thanks for your services Batch!

Like others thought he looked good early on but never quite came on. Too much of an inbetweener to cement his spot.

Yep first season looked great then drifted.

Got leap frogged by a bigger faster more versatile and more athletic player in Broad.

Congrats on your 7 years at the RFC Jake.

Best of luck for your future Jake i wish i could have played 80 odd games for the RFC.
