Jake Batchelor

yeah Batch is a ripper. its stealth the way he goes about cancelling opponents out of the game.

He nearly ran down Hill on one occasion last week. Sprint practice working perhaps?

Yep. Keane was perhaps my favourite Tiger in that amazing period. Toss up between him and Bourke for me.
I still have my old No 18 Tiger jumper!

Horrid night. His kicking is so dodgy. He had some absolute howlers tonight.

Between him and Hunt and Houli we have some real turnover merchants in the backline.

Yep with the amount of ball in there and the pressure the Crows bought, they were all bad tonight.

Another good game, has had his best year by a mile, very important cog in the back half.
They were all good, even Morris. The back 6 is so solid and Jake's become a very important part of it. He could always take a grab, but now he's started to use the ball well, too.

Batch is another soldier. Doesn't do a lot flashy but is pretty reliable to get a job done. I love our backline, it's the strongest part of our team.

17 kicks. 12 marks. go Batch...
Getting back to being the player many of us thought he could be.

Vlastuin and Batchelor are the steel and the reliability factor. Both of them are strong over the ball, good overhead, don't take a backwards step and make good decisions.

Gee, matching up on Joe Daniher and giving away 15cm, i thought he did a pretty good job. Not a night for forwards obviously, so that helps the height differential, but he started the soccer chain that lead to Martins goal. I didnt notice any other glaring mistakes at the game.

Watch the game again. A lot of poor decision-making by Batch last night. And only 50% disposal efficiency.
