On the telly though it looked like every bounce favoured the Dogs.
It did at the ground too. Never seen the ball bounce over our players' heads so many times. It's a cruel game sometimes.

How many times did the ball just stand up and give the Dogs that half second and that's all they needed. They made every tackle stick.

What about the Bont? Ten tackles? Hard hat superstar.

decent player, however has average pace, average kicking skills and average aerial skills. need better.

True, it happened so often there was one play where someone (Batch?) actually waited for the bounce but it STILL went over his head!

Yep, it was just a terrible day all round. Bad bounces, teammates spoiling each other, then leaving the ball for each other and neither of them getting it. A few times our guys would chop off a handball meant for another teammate and turn it over. Kicking was horrible, tackling poor. The only upside is we couldn't possibly have played any worse.

If only you could buy shares in people. I'd be like the bloke who bought Apple stock in 1978.

Has developed from last year as he is getting more of the ball himself. Thought his game and disposal against the blues was good. Then yesterday happened! His kicking yesterday was deplorable.

Yeah, the bounce was killing us. Weird how when things just aren't going your way, everything seems to go wrong. Seems to happen to our Tigers more than most, too.

Brought a lot of it on ourselves.

If our guys could pass the ball and hit targets in space on the full, rather than bouncing it in front of them, the bounce of the ball wouldnt be an issue.

Would Jake make any of the top 4 sides back lines
No he wouldn't but I bet if he made the move to for eg Hawthorn he wouldn't look nearly as bad. Having better quality around you makes one perform better.

No doubt TT , however all backs in a top 4 back lines have atleast one very important assest, weather it be as a shut down player, run an carry out of the backline, elite boot or a great 3rd up player.....Jake usually gets the 5th or 6th best forward an regularly gets goals kicked on him an out marked by bigger opponents, this could be managed if he hurt the opposition going back the other way with good run or an elite boot like Suckling, unfortunatly he posses neither

I agree, I just don't see what people see in Batch. An average player at best. We have far too many poor users of the footy out of the back half for us to be a successful transition team (which we need to be) against anyone who is terrible. We will probably go fine against Brisbane next week as they look in a similar position to Carlton (I expected them to be far better than they have been in the first 2 games).

Agree but until Dea comes back who do we have that is ready to go?

Astbury in for Grimes to take the opposition's number 1 forward, which in turn will free up Chaplin to point and wave his arms around.
