No point moving him on. He's not much chop, but we're in no position to be sacking adequate players at this stage.Ross got made to look slow and soft today by a #lolnorf reject. Time to move him on.
Where do you expect all the ready-made replacements to come from?Ross got made to look slow and soft today by a #lolnorf reject. Time to move him on.
Yeah often i'd rather he hold the ball in for a ballup...better than a turnoverI'll raise an issue that does my *smile* head in - Ross so often folds in a tackle but keeps his arms free to dish off by hand. like any AFL player should.
BUT
he doesn't land them. these hand passes end up dribbling out like a geriatrics *smile*.
sure, he's corrected his footskills, but he just isn't capable of standing up to the heat of a tackle like he should, especially with his strong frame.
Play him as a mid this week.Against Fitzroy in R23 Ross improved a bit. (A lot on his previous game.)
23 touches. 10 contested. Wow. 4 clearance. 9 SI. Big.
It was only Fitzroy but Ross worked harder at the contest and used very well.
Biggest surprise for me from last night was how low Jack Ross finished in the voting after playing 19 games.
Thought overall he had a decent year.
There's obviously something the coaches haven't liked or that he's so vanilla he doesn't attract votes.
I'm sure he'd have been a bit disheartened after the count.
Serviceable plodder. Break open in case of emergency
BongoYep, that right. I like Ross but he is the depth player that really good teams have. The fact that he play each week now shows where we are at unfortunately
BangoSaid it in the B&F Thread. He is a very mediocre player and just not rated internally. Worst part is, of our younger players, he is one of the best performed and most consistent.
We’ve got some serious issues with our lack of young talent coming through.
