Ivan Soldo

he had an existential crisis in the last Q, but in a good way, he forgot he was a huge ruckman.

If Nank is right, both will provide a big difference. Could have three winning combinations for us (centre to forward), just like Jack and Tom, Dion and Martin

Is starting to resemble his cousin, never would’ve thought that would ever happen

Leaps and bounds. Different footballer from eight week ago. Playing as a link man at times. Getting involved.

There is some Ivvy Snr in his game. Remarkable progress.

We have a legit number one ruck battle looming in 2020. This is very in Richmond.

WTF is going on with the big Soldo? Side steps through traffic, selling candy n linking through the corridor with run n bounce. Big bugger still looks as mechanical as *smile*, but geez he was fun to watch today.

How good is it to see a speculative pick like Soldo step it up and take it to the next level? Particularly in such a big game at the pointy end of the season. He was a brute at times today and showed a bit of flair in the last. I’m really excited for him and grateful to his namesake for assisting him to get here. When asked at the start of season where our weakness lay I said in the ruck, but when tested eevarn #2 has taken the spot with both hands. Now to get our small forwards in the zone, maybe #1 can fix them with his crazy eyes and get something special out of them.

Improving with every game. Marking consistently around the ground will be his next challenge. Summer focus on that to get to the next level. Can’t fault his endeavour & his tap work is good. Legitimate ruck option who’s one 23.

I'd still bring in Nank when he's fit and ready. Soldank has the makings of a very scary ruck force.

That's true... but didn't he kick about 9 goals in a game once? Or was that Clokey?
He did. Soldo has a way to go to be in The General's league yet. The bloke did win a JDM and dominate a dual Brownlow Medallist in a granny.

And averaged 3.8 marks per game, I just checked.

Check the game Lee kicked 9 in: he had 22 disposals and 12 marks and we put 28.17 past St Kilda and Phil Egan kicked 4.6. https://www.afltables.com/afl/stats/games/1982/141519820724.html

Yeah, I went to that game I reckon, went to most home games between 81-83. I thought Phil Egan was another talented player who never quite reached the heights he could have. Probably because we were *smile*.
