Can tap OK but either doesn't look or just doesn't know how to tap to advantage. Hampson Mark 2

Every ruck contest is surrounded by focused, rested footballers all reading the tap and ready to pounce... I don’t see a single ruckman in the AFL having any genuine influence over ruck contests, it’s the modern game and has nothing to do with Soldo’s ability in this area.

Even though he’s no where near ready physically, I’d love to see CCJ get a run of 4-5 games before Nank comes back. He’s the future, not Ivan.

He is rubbish. Picking up players that started playing 3 days ago arent going to cut it.
Just get him out. I rather have castagna in the ruck

Even though his Hawthorn game was good, he’s got too many deficiencies to persevere with - can’t or won’t mark; ineffectual after the ruck contest & not mobile enough.

Actually play one player short at the clearances as a result.

He makes me laugh a lot. Knobel never made me laugh.

Knobel played a game for us under Frawley I’m pretty sure at the Telstra dome and at the end of the game he ended up with donuts

Soldo 54% game time vs Chol 69%. This suggests the coaches didn't want him on the ground even though he was nominally first ruck.

I'd rather CuJo combining with Chol.

St Kilda had the upper hand every time Soldo was in the ruck.

Marshall cut him up at the bounces and around the ground he did as he pleased.

Chol gave Marshall much more competition, hence he ended up with more game time plus he went forward whilst Soldo was on the ground.

One big issue is when the ball hits the ground - he is so slow to react and apparently cannot bend at the waist to pick it up.

It has been a useful exercise to see him play seniors.

His fatal flaw is his lack of agility. Offers very little. Unless this can be rectified then he is cooked.

Has anyone like L2R2 or someone or mr brighty etc got any stats which compares soldo to nanks and how soldo is tracking.
It looked like soldo took a couple of good overhead catches yesterday that other ruckman we’ve had in the past couldn’t do.
