News from the hanger, suggests port are willing to trade their next year's first. Could we accept this for Soldo and trade our second?
I believe their first will be used as part currency to obtain all 4 players who have nominated PTA as their preferred club (Zerk-Thatcher, Ratugolea, Sweet, & Soldo).

Yeah I think they will use their future 1st to get enough picks for the players they want. They are in the window right now, and acquiring the right players for a flag tllt is worth trading out a future 1st.

They are looking to get Soldo, Sweet, Ratagalea and BZT. Port have picks 38, 44 and 71 currently.

How about something like Ports future 1st, 44 and Hayes for Soldo, 26 and our future 4th.
Ratagelea they get for our pick 26
BZT for 38
Sweet for our future 4th pick

Picks in the 40's (depending where picks from those clubs matching bids) could actually move up a little but, depending on where picks settle at.

We get a future 1st (we can ride Port hard next year down) and still have 44, 45 and 63 this year to play with. Plus anything else we get from trading players out offset with whatever we pay Kosi. I think bringing in Kosi and Hayes (who seems free to leave Port) give sus enough insurance to cover Soldo and if we can get access to an extra future 1st at the same time, then you'd do it.

Soldo is a keep
Soldo isn't Ottens but he isn't a dud..marks well, kicks extremely well for a big man and his 1t half against Gawn proves he worth keeping..if we trade him it could match the disaster trade of jay Schultzz for the Tim Fleming Clone.

He dhiits all over those 3.
Ratonmygear is worth pick 40
Therk thatcher pick 50
And pick 76 for sweet

seems like a few players want to go to Port. why??

Big Eevan is an easy one. He'll nearly be 28 at the start of next season and he wants a crack at a 1st ruck position, and Port are also in the flag window. Could nab another.

Maybe the Rat man thinks Geelong are finally done, and wants the chance at a flag.
BZT - well its Essendon, why would you stay there!
Sweet - No idea, likely to be depth either there or Dogs, maybe its money?

thanks MrPosh... i was being facetious, but appreciate the input ..

Port have a terrific midfield which will improve it they get Soldo.
I’d be looking for a forward like Marshall Geogiadis or even Lord, in order to try and settle succession in our high forward KPP.
If they improve, as should be expected.. .. it’s a tough one!
