Ivan Maric

Left nothing in the tank today. His goal late in the game (and his celebration) was fanbloodytastic.

We need a replacement ready for 12 games next year. Warnock slaughtered him in the hit outs.

Battled his guys out and looked it at stages...but huge kudos to him..

We need someone to help him out next hear.

Great to see the Mullet give it his all today IMO was one of our best

Fully agree. He desperately needs another young athletic ruck man to help him. That's what we should be looking for in the offseason

Yeah, now is the time to start grooming a long term replacement. And it aint Vickery.

I kept telling you we shouldve taken Grundy, but you wouldn't listen.

Definitely need to draft another ruckmen this year.

Ivvy snap on the run from 45 was brilliant, never knew he could run that fast! So much for a rest up forward. Team-lifting stuff from the big fella, when we needed it.

Warnock and Kruezer were just too much for him in the end. They squashed him. Hindsight says Big O should have played. Maric was beaten 3 weeks ago and Kruezer wasn't even playing. selection table error.

I only saw the game live and from the boundary but my take on the second half of our only final for umpteen years was that Ivan Maric bled and so did the team at the centre bounces.

Carlton dominated clearances from the hands of Warnock and Kreuzer.

Ivan kicked a running goal. Goal of the year, apparently.

My take is that he was a long way behind at the time and not much better after.

A ruck must not bleed. he must influence the flight of the ball. Watch the game again, Sure, Malthouse humiliated Hardwick. But Warnock and Kreuzer palmed the ball claeanly to spaces Carlton mids like Gibbs and Robbo were told to run to.

Ivan was the Terrible in that game.
