one good year is not enough these days

so far he is well below the mark

is it just me or is anyone else worried that ivan is going to turn back into a dud

How can you go from AA contention to dud??? Maybe it was the extra work he put in to gain the respect of his new teammates. Or maybe he's playing injured?

He has played really well in one sesaon then some that have been there for 5 seasons..

If Ivan isn't injured he will find the form he had last year. As others have said he was managed carefully in the pre-season. The side effect of this could be starting slowly in the first couple of games of the season.

Thought he was quite serviceable against the Pies considering we were down on the day as a team.

25 hitouts. 15 disposals at 80% effectiveness. 5 marks. 3 tackles. 12 pressure acts. 8 score involvements. A goal. 92% time on ground.

Yeah i agree Rosy, others must have been watching something else to what i saw!

I reckon his been managed over the pre season too build into this season rather then hit it at full steam.......No doubt big Ivys expectations from the fans have gone thru the roof an probally a bit unrealistic

Needs some help around the ground, bring on the Big O and rest each of them in a fwd pocket.

we are last on the table for hit outs this year, Collingwood are about 2 last if I recall correctly. I was at the game, Ivan looked slow made a few bad mistakes and couldn't impose himself to get first use in the third. I think he needs some help, the current setup is well off the leaders.

2 contested marks for the year...

Whichever way you slice & dice it is nowhere near last season. Say it again the power running is not there. Really fear we burnt him out.

The Big O must be very close to a callup.

I think this week is a good opportunity for the Big O to play. He can match it with Griffen and the big open spaces of Subiaco are not ideal for a ruck men like Maric who is seemingly struggling with some sort of injury.

Thought he was good against the doggies too. He beat minson on the day for mine and Minson at the time was in very good form.

That's bad, you need someone in there that can pluck a few marks. He has dropped about 3 decent sitters that I can remember. Goal square Carlton game, there was one against the doggies game and one last week.
But also remember that ginger at Adelaide has a worse start to the season too, they might take more time

Is it my imagination ,

he does not seem as clean with his hands this year as last, seems to be a lot more fumbling .

Totally agree, is fumbling all the time and his handball to conca last week under no pressure that cost us a goal was Angus grahamesque.

I posted last week when I was at the game that I thought he was a liability with his fumbling and skills. I can't believe this is the same guy as last year.
