Ivan Maric

Was at the game today, big Ivan has a fair ticker on him, giving us everything that he was recruited for. Kudos to the mullett man. Amazingly, my frequent rips to AAMI are starting to pay dividends. Starting to own that place!

Was massive today. Initially I was just happy to upgrade on Graham and has exceeded all expectations so far. Well done.

If we want finals, there is no more important player.

he is a finals player.

I am salivating in the fact we have abig man finally. we have missed him.

Port Adelaide gave pick 33 for Renouf, we gave pick 37 for Ivan. Who smashed who today? Ouch. That's gotta hurt.

Thats what you get when you have a ruckman prepared to put the body on the line.

Oh how we have missed it.

46 taps - most on record by a Richmond ruckman other than Mark Lee.

Here's one for you lrlrlrlrlrlrlrl

Whats the record for the most taps in a day for a club using all 3 teams. i.e. AFL, Coburg, Coburg 2nds, or Seniors, Reserves, Under 19s ?

I reckon with Mulletric's 46, Browne's ridiculous 90something and whatever we got at Coburg, we should be close.

Haha I have no idea, no stats publicly available for the curtain-raisers.

The way he fills a hole in the backline impresses me..Leaves the opposition with fewer options. And a big man wearing Yellow & Black who can take a grab. Never thought i'd see that again.

Just the fact that he is prepared to run occasionally has given us a boost. He has certainly grabbed his second chance with both hands.

I think is most valuable trait is the constant need he has to block, shepard, make body contact with any opposition players. He's always looking to see who he can give some extra attention too.

Do you reckon he stats guys have a bit of a man crush on him too? Because watching the game live I didn't think he was that dominate. He must have been credited with every 50-50 tap.

Only credited with 7 hit outs to advantage Love to know what they consider a HtA as itr always low. last week Mulletric got 8.

Richmond:
Ranked 5th in least Opponent Hitouts Per Game

Not bad at all.

2nd week in a row that Dimma's successfully used him to plug the hole in defence as the big body.
It's one thing to coach that strategy though and another thing altogether for the player to execute it and Ivan has done it brilliantly.

Im sick of people saying he's a true competitor etc..provides a contest etc. Everybody knows that. Ivan can also take a strong grab, is pretty good off the deck, and is a very good kick for his height. Only have to look at the backline grabs he took to which he executed very well to the more mobile ball users.
