I see Ivan has been selected in the VFL team to play on Sunday. I assume he needs a bit of VFL game time to blow away a few cobwebs. I also assume he will be promoted to the seniors next week if all goes OK.
Have to start preparing for life without Ivan.
Think this will be his last year. Body shot.
As much as he is loved by us all and has been a wonderful servant coming trade time we either look for a ruckman who can assist us straight away in 2017.
That GWS ruck I would be looking at Lobe???. Can take a man and kick goals when resting forward. Don't think we can rely on Vickery, Griff, Chol or even Soldo ???
What are others thoughts?

Heavens above the ruck probelm at Richmond was evident a mile away last year.

I've been something of a h8tr since the EF of 2013. But I have to qualify that a little.
I've never thought that Ivan was a heart player. I think he's bulletproof and reflex by hand, perfectly adequate by foot and as strong as a small below the knees. And if he can reach it he can catch it. In short he's a highly skilled, natural footballer.
I don't buy the heart patronising *smile*. Ivan can really play. I'm not talking about his athletic prowess - I'm talking about his talent.
It's his defensive game that I criticise. What he does to stem the flow when he's getting beaten. It's not enough. Even when he could jump it wasn't. Sometimes it's nowhere near enough.
Of course, the rules have changed and even lepers like Rhys Stanley look like footballers thanks to the constant flow of play. And if you look at a spud like Fatboy McEvoy with a premiership medal you have to wonder what if.
At Richmond Ivan has always been exposed. He's a cruiserweight ruck with no dinosaur complement. Fatboy McEvoy had Hale for cover. And now Ceglar.
How would it have been for Ivan if the Hammer really could play? If from R1 of 2014 he'd had a chop out every time a tall athlete got a hold of him? Some help when a ponce like Warnock pretended to be a matchwinner?
All Ivan got was part-time immatures like Vickers and Griffens.
We've given the old boy every chance to get over his mild geriatric quadriplegia for 2016. Maybe, if Shaun 'The Hammer' Hampson (previously known as Mrs Gale) can stay on the park and actually catch the football again when it's going to hit him in the face, Ivan can bloom - years after at least one of us thought he was past it.
